  1. I think they consist of, Bull Terrier , Greyhound and pointer?? correct me if im wrong. I have seen Bull Arab crosses work but not pure bull arabs, But i love watching a pig dog sit on the back of a ute with his nose in the air. And to watch him bail off its amazing to see. He leaves everythin else alone but pigs. I love it ,
  2. they closed the forums down, shame it was a really good site
  3. Nail Varnish, The salution to many problems..................
  4. Why dont you electrical tape it too your ear and crawl around on the ground. If there is something that is unfixable, Im sure Electrical Tape will fix it !!!
  5. My dog had a course on a hare the other day, It was a nice open paddock and was an awsome course, She didnt get to turning the hare but she was full tilt after it up a slow hill. She got within about 10 mtrs of it when they dissapeared over a crest and she returned to Heel. I tell you what, Those hares are incredibly fast and it is the best thing i have seen so far with my dog.
  6. I have used Frontline and it works, Keeps the fleas and ticks of em.... use the stuff for Kittens I havent had a problem
  7. THATS A HUUUUGE BITCH!
  8. They definatly are goers, 50 bux i get up here for a ferret
  9. I have 10mm poles over here, never used anything else. But you would be suprised at some of the ground i get them into i hit them in with a mallet, they are bloody tough
  10. It makes it hard i know, Foothold traps have such a bad reputation. But they are a very effective trap and times have changed dramatically and so has technology these are state of the art traps. Foxes down here are terrible news especially for farmers so the more variety we have at reducing there numbers the better.
  11. Not with these rubber padded traps, they do hardly any damage to the foxes foot. Remember a foxes foot is very tough and robust the foxes i have caught have only had a line in the fur of there feet by the traps. You get some foxes who bite the trap and have a few nips on there feet, but they will still be able to run off no problems.
  12. I got this guy in a urine post set, Im sure its the dog to the vixen i caught a month ago in the same location. The trap was sprung first and then i caught him on the remake, after i washed my pan cover in the damn, good my trap wasnt contaminated as i thought this was my main problem. There is still another one i am chasing, i should have him soon enough
  13. I think the Deerhound is used over here for there strong structure, and feet. My stag seems to have nice big strong feet. She has had a couple chases on some dry old ground and she seems to not have problems with them. However there is the odd Bindi she gets and needs me to pick it out for her But if its the deerhound blood in the Staghound that makes the Stag so gentle i guess you could say i really like Deerhounds. Are Deerhounds really keen chasers? because I cannot stop my Staghound from wanting to run, she loves to chase but she just has to wait. She comes out ferreti
  14. Put em on tight, I havent had the prob yet touch wood. If the collar comes off and you ferret has still layed up, Run a hob through with another collar, and when he goes to the kill your on the money, All is not lost. Unless you dont have another ferret on you Its good to get out though keep it up
  15. Well done mate, Its good too see how it was all done once. You kind of have me inspired to attempt making a longnet. I have stitched a few purse nets, maybey i start with a few 8 yrd stopnets then work my way up.
  16. Ok here is something freaky, When my Jill first had kits they where fine in there nest box but they soon started to wander. I noticed a couple had gotten out but not travelled far, i was able to pick them up put them back into the cage and i noticed another one was still missing, When i checked my hob he had picked it up and put it in his nest box, had anyone heard of this? he was the father of them, which im sure has something to do with it
  17. I cannot wait till my Bitch is on the foxes, What are these dogs bred mate? look like they are powerful enough to take a yote with ease thats for sure
  18. Mitch

  19. Hey guys, That fine mesh that is on the bottom of your longnet baskets. Any idea who i could get some off? cheers
  20. Very interesting and different, i hope you get a few. Did you choose to use snares because of the others knowing about the area so they dont steal your traps? Wish you luck
