  1. Look a better prospect than the majority of the other litters on there
  2. How did the pups turn out from your choc dog to the saluki type bitch? I seen them advertised on here a couple of years ago, wished I had room at the time!
  3. Did Bess feature in your family of dogs? She looks a cracking type. Great thread and apologies if you’ve already answered this question in a previous post that I’ve missed
  4. Tidy hounds you’ve got, I’ve always had a soft spot for the beddy cross, a mate of mine used to have a handy first cross bedlington grey when I was in my early teens he was a great little dog, always fancied one myself
  5. Think this is more likely the route I’ll go down!
  6. Fingers crossed she takes for you and the bitches owner. Will you keep a pup to keep his blood going? Have you thought about getting straws from him? Sorry to hear about the little dog but FairPlay for trying to get to him, your lads had a lucky escape by the sound of it, I bet you all wanted to carry on trying to get to him but wise not too at risk of even greater loss in those circumstances Cheers
  7. Well that was worth doing! I’ve been put in touch with a vet who do it for £75, more than happy with that
  8. Car auctions…. Thinking of buying a berlingo, for a bit of a weekend run around/camper for me and the youth/dog bus/fishing bus. Question is are the auctions and ex fleet vehicles a happy hunting ground? Are they any cheaper than buying one private/from a garage? Has anyone had any experience with them? What’s the dos and don’t? Are they worth bothering with? Cheers!
  9. I’ve emailed a local(ish) rescue centre to see if they could recommend a vet that they use and a rough idea of cost, as yet no reply…. I just have 1 hob and 1 Jill at the minute, I’d like to mate them this spring and keep a Jill. I fly solo really so he’d only ever be used on my one/two Jill’s
  10. I see on their website you could adopt a vasectomised hob for £60 well worth it if you were near them looks like they’d rehome to working homes as well
  11. Don’t blame you mate I’d be the same, I bet you were gutted after thinking it had worked with that first Jill!
  12. Hope it’s worked for you the second time. Did you end up with a litter after the first?
  13. Cheers mate I’ll give the local vet a ring and see what they say
  14. Hi just wondered if anyone had a hob vasectomised lately and could give a rough idea of costs? Is it a procedure any vet practice will carry out or are you best of going to somewhere that specialises in this sort of thing? I intend to breed my hob and jill when she comes season, to keep a Jill for myself and I’d have homes for any spare. Then I think I’d like to have him done and let them have run of a court together all year round. Just to add, if anyone has had one done or knew of a vets they’d recommend for doing it in the north east please let me know. Many Thank
  15. Ditto I use garmin T5 mini on mine
  16. Brings a whole new meaning to being kennel blind I suppose
  17. Redneck tools on Facebook I’ve had stuff off him and his work is spot on
  18. Two handy looking tykes mate, like the dog on the left. He’s done you proud.
  19. Two lovely dogs and a credit to yourself for sticking with them through those horrible injuries, not many would. Hats off! Has Boots sired many litters?
  20. I couldn’t agree more with you but as the fella says he’s not based in the uk I thought it was worth a mention
  21. If you’re not from the UK try hunting dogs of Europe give him a Google and you should find his website I know he’s advertising a dog and a bitch at the minute that have passed working tests in Europe, they won’t be cheap but might be an option for you
