  1. And don't forget, I showed Moscow at probably his only show, and that wee waisted Chipper only gave him a second ! LOL! Cheers.
  2. I've seen a few " Minshaws", but I think the only " real" Minshaws I've seen were Jack and Moscow, but they were old dogs then...... But I'd have had a pup out of either of them !! Cheers.
  3. Jacker !! Small phone keyboard and big fingers ! LOL !
  4. Why would anyone dream of breeding from a "jacket" ? There are any amount of genuine dogs out there, so why tempt fate by breeding from a "jacket" ? Cheers.
  5. Why is the floor falling from the door to the bed?wouldn't it have been better the opposite way? Cheers.
  6. A rarther stupid question from someone who usualy has something usefull to say !
  7. I'd bet it is !! But would it live with a REAL Lurcher ??? Of course not ! Cheers.
  8. Why should debate be "bitchy" ? As I said, I love Beddy's and Whippets; but don't see the point in the cross ! I think the Beddy/Grey cross is far better, and would definately think of using a 1st cross Beddy/Grey over my 1st cross Deer/Grey. If anyone has a 1st cross Beddy/Whippet that can do a Lurchers job; then great ! But I've never seen one that can do owt bar a bit of ferreting and mooching ! Cheers. I can lamp with mine, but he's not a first cross and is 22" TTS.. What cross is he Malt ? Cheers. He's just 3rd or 4th generation beddy/whippet Chart. My only wish w
  9. No, you may be very proud of your dog, and I admire you for that, but I'd bring any Whippet I know, and race your dog and beat it !! Your dog's obviously a good dog for you, but please don't say she is as fast as a Whippet, or else we would have Beddy X racing instead of Whippet Racing ! Cheers.

  12. Well a straight Beddy wont catch you many rabbits and a straight Whippet won't work the cover like a beddy.................................... Well, that's what I mean, mate... A Beddy will bush, ferret, go to ground. A Whippet will ferret, lamp and take a few day time. A Beddy/Whippet won't go to ground like a Beddy, catch as many rabbits daytime or on the lamp as a Whippet, so what's the advantages of a Beddy/Whippet x over a pure Beddy or Whippet ? A Beddy x Whippet WON'T do what it's parents will do..it may do a job, but imho, won't do it as good ! Cheers. Cheers. But
  13. OK, a Beddy/Whippet is a handy wee dog for a bit ferreting or bushing. But if you want a dog to go to ground, this isn't it ! If you want a dog for lamping, you are better off having a pure Whippet ! As I said.. I love both breeds, and would probably have a Beddy'Whippet as a house cur or part of a Bobbery Pack, but I wouldn't get one as a first choice Lurcher ! Simply not good enough, there are far better choices; and this from a man who's best dog ever is 1/4 Beddy !! Cheers.

  15. My little bitch, Delta, is by a Breakheart Fell 1st cross Beddy/Grey, Pat Blewitts "Flynn", out of a Deer/Grey-Whippet/Grey; but has thrown very much to her Sires side. Almost seven now and still going strong, a hard little bitch. Cheers.
  16. Have a look on their site. I think it's only the heads that are available, not the lens'es. http://www.targetsports.co.uk/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=73 Cheers.
  17. My dogs won't keep bedding in their kennels Jim they drag the fecker out lol and lie in the dog run...I've never kept a lurcher in the house and never would...that's the way I am they are dogs nothing more and nothing less to me...as for saying they won't make old bones well IMO that don't make one iota of a difference? My previous dogs have all been still capable of putting in a shift at ten years of age that many young dogs couldn't match and like the lad said I had my old bitch PTS last year just shy of her 16th birthday not bad for a dog bottle fed from one day old as she had no dam and th
  18. aye if I had a pound for everytime the wife said " you love they dogs more than me " I,d be a fookin millionare lol Fcuk me wouldnt we all ,I get that on a weekly basis at the very least Reminds me of the joke when the missus said "You love Newcastle United more then me" !! I said "I love fcuking Sunderland more than you "!! LOL !! Cheers.
  19. Here's a paradox for you...I love Bedlingtons and Whippets; but I've never fancied a Beddy/Whippet cross ! Can they do something what a pure Beddy or Pure Whippet can't ? Cheers.
  20. But what about the one on the left ? It's only got one lug !!! LOL !!! (Just joking mate !!), Cheers.
  21. I've got two bitches, both kenneled, in fact they wont come in the house, they prefer the kennel. They are in a warm, dry, draught proof enviroment, and I have oil-filled radiators in the kennels that kick in at 1 degree above zero, to stop the water icing over. Both them have bonded extremly well with me, in fact the Deer x is a "one man dog". Nothing wrong at all with keeping dogs inside, but I prefer my working dogs kenneled. Cheers.
  22. Broken coated "Whippets" were fairly common many years ago, but I doubt if they are ever seen now. It looks like the breeder wasn't being completely honest with you, but that doesn't mean the pup won't turn out to be what you want ! To the people who are recommending "droppers", don't you realise it's ilegal, and classed as "baiting"??? Just what the anti's and the RSPCA want to read on here !! Cheers.
  23. Whats your Collie Whip in pup to ? Why don't you wait and bring on a pup from your own bitch ? Cheers.
  24. I'd say that anyone who is serious about keeping dogs, (of any type), and can't keep a dog and a bitch apart, to avoid "accidental" matings; shouldn't realy have dogs and should take up another hobby ! Cheers.
