As I said, two completely different games, but 25 years ago rugby players didn’t have the laws protecting them they do these days.; high tackle , head contact, etc banned and punished severely, as has been seen in this World Cup, players being sent off for head contact when the fref and TMO have taken ages to make a decision on what looked like a 50/50 but the decision always goes against the player without the ball. Its pointless comparing rugby to soccer. Cheers.

I think what Ray was getting at, and I agree with him, is that rugby players don’t roll around the floor , feigning injury and trying to get the opposing player sent off . None of this waving imaginary cards around, and I’m glad the refs are clamping down on it. I couldn’t believe Almiron doing it against West Ham and HIM getting the card, really stupid, but intelligence has never been a prerequisite to being a good footballer ! They’ve got the betting records from his phone and it shows he only bet on Milan to win and when he wasn’t playing. He’s using this as mitigation, but betting on sports your involved in is illegal in Italian law, not just their F.A. Hell be a big miss, but I’ve no sympathy for him. Looks like Newcastle will lose their record signing, Tonali, for at least a year. In the Italian betting scandal, he originally said he only played blackjack and poker, but now admits to betting on Milan games. The other player who held his hands up immediately got 12 months ban reduced to 7 months in plea bargain. Worst case scenario for Tonali is 3 year ban ! Cheers.

I had an almost perfect brood this year. I put 8 black leghorn x Bovan goldline eggs and 2 Irish Hennie game fowl eggs under my clucker and she hatched all bar one. I couldn’t have wished for a better mix , the hennies were both hens, and they were to go in with the pair I’ve got but sadly one disappeared, probably taken by a rat ! The layers were two cocks an five hens, perfect as I’m giving a trio to a pal and keep a cock and three hens myself. Cheers.

That’s a fair comment, but I think it’s beyond doubt that Hamas started this latest round of violence. Is Israel innocent in all this ? Of course not, but I see people on the streets of Newcastle actually denying that the Hamas incursion into Israel even happened and it’s all some Jewish plot ! Cheers.

I’m not supporting any one over anyone else. I just find it strange that anyone would not believe what Hamas did. And no, I’m not an expert on Arab issues, but I tend to speak from actual experience, not from what I read or see on tv. Cheers,

Shukran jazeelan ya habibi! LOL ! I enjoy the conversation, and the reparte', but I sometimes have to bite my tongue when I read people pontificating on things they have no idea about ! But that doesn't mean that everyone can't have an opinion or say on what's happening in their lives, and I appreciate everyone's opinion, even though I may not agree with it. That's not really an answer to Paulus's question. Yes , there are other races and nationalities who suffer from sickle cell, but it's predominantly negroes, and people with African heritage, ( Spain has a huge Moorish population), but it is very rare in caucasians. Shukran jazeelan, habibi.
