  1. Sunak is thinking of cutting taxes for high earners, cutting stamp duty and scrapping inheritance tax before the next election in the hope of getting people to vote Tory. This may get a few "stay at home" Tory Shire voters to return to the fold, but if he thinks it will impress the "red wall" voters who abandoned Labour and voted Tory at the last general election, then he shouldn't be in politics ! It will lose him far, far more votes when Labour scream about Tory's looking after the rich. Heres a radical proposal for Sunak if he really wants to win the next GE....... Go on TV a
  2. There is a lot of “ye’s” in there. I do like the insult “ye sordid prostitutes”. Cheers.
  3. I did, and it’s just another reason why we need a strong leader who wouldn’t be afraid to drain the swamp and overrule these traitors who put foreigners before the British people ! The government are bragging that they “only” borrowed £14.8 billion last month… coincidentally almost exactly the same amount we give away in overseas aid ! Cheers.
  4. The Tory Peer, Lord Moylan is on GBNews and has just said, almost to the word, what I said about Farage never becoming Tory Party Leader, but could lead the Reform Party with a lot of disaffected Tory MP’s or a new Conservative Party. Cheers.
  5. Perhaps Nigel could march into parliament at the head of the army and give Cromwells speech; And declare himself the new Lord Protector ! Before I get all the abuse, it’s just tongue in cheek ! Cheers.
  6. Doubt it, when he was at the Tory Conference all the right wing Tory’s fêted him, but the left of the party,( most of them), hate him ! If, as I expect, the Tory party is decimated at the next election, many of those that lose their seats may try to form a new Conservative party or join the Reform Party with Nigel as leader. In yesterdays two by elections, the Tory’s might just have sneaked them if it wasn’t for disaffected Tory voters voting for Reform. I dread the thought of Labour getting into power, but the Tory’s are just as bad…..time for a complete change, I think. Che
  7. Nice pups, Joe. Is the brindle a dog or a bitch ? Cheers.
  8. The government has just estimated that to reach Net Zero will cost the taxpayers one TRILLION pounds. Contrast this with the government estimate for HS2 of 35 BILLION pounds , which has risen to 130 BILLION pounds ! So we could be looking at FOUR TRILLION POUNDS to reach Net Zero ! Cheers.
  9. You would need gigantic battery storage for solar and wind energy for when the sun isn’t shining and the wind isn’t blowing. Base Load is needed for those times and that means diesel, gas , coal or nuclear powered generation. The eco fanatics refuse to accept this simple fact. Cheers.
  10. They didn’t stay sitting when they realised it wasn’t going to stop ! Cheers.
  11. The bitch has been off for a few weeks with a wrist injury. I had a look out with the lamp last night and gave her a couple of slips on foxes to see if it had healed. She didn't show any adverse reaction, so I thought I'd give her a run on a hare this morning. Nowt about so it was just a walk in the rain. I'll leave it now till this storm passes, then get her up the fells for a few runs, I think she's fully recovered now. Cheers.
  12. General consensus is he will get a 12 month ban. The other guy who held his hands up immediately and shopped Tonali and another player, got a 7 month ban, leniency for helping the investigation. Newcastle have said they'll stand by Tonali, but that may change if he gets the maximum 3 year ban. Cheers.
  13. I made the mistake of editing the pic, it looks dry on top, but it was very soggy. Cheers.
  14. There's chatter about how Milan may have been tipped off about this betting scandal and Tonali's involvement and possible upcoming ban so they sold him. I don't know how much truth there is in it, but why would they sell a 23 year old Italian national team player ? Could end up with a lot of litigation! Cheers.
  15. My five year old great nephew is mad about football and rugby; his dad is right into football and his grandad is Chairman of Newcastle Gosforth Rugby Club; He played in his first competitive game of Touch Rugby last week and scored two tries, doing completely unnecessary flamboyant dives over the try line, but he was warned twice for tackling the opposition AND his own players ! LOL ! His grandad described him as a baby rhinoceros running amok ! Cheers.
  16. As I said, two completely different games, but 25 years ago rugby players didn’t have the laws protecting them they do these days.; high tackle , head contact, etc banned and punished severely, as has been seen in this World Cup, players being sent off for head contact when the fref and TMO have taken ages to make a decision on what looked like a 50/50 but the decision always goes against the player without the ball. Its pointless comparing rugby to soccer. Cheers.
  17. I think what Ray was getting at, and I agree with him, is that rugby players don’t roll around the floor , feigning injury and trying to get the opposing player sent off . None of this waving imaginary cards around, and I’m glad the refs are clamping down on it. I couldn’t believe Almiron doing it against West Ham and HIM getting the card, really stupid, but intelligence has never been a prerequisite to being a good footballer ! If a footballer had been hit with a tackle like the Argie did to the taff to save the game, he would have been in intensive care for a month ! But, two
  18. They’ve got the betting records from his phone and it shows he only bet on Milan to win and when he wasn’t playing. He’s using this as mitigation, but betting on sports your involved in is illegal in Italian law, not just their F.A. Hell be a big miss, but I’ve no sympathy for him. He knew the score, no pun intended ! Cheers.
  19. To quote Goebbels, “Tell a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”. Sieglien , “The bigger the lie, the more people will believe it “. Hiram Johnson, “ The first casualty of war is the truth”. Or the old lurcher man saying, “Believe nothing you hear and only half you see”. Cheers.
  20. Looks like Newcastle will lose their record signing, Tonali, for at least a year. In the Italian betting scandal, he originally said he only played blackjack and poker, but now admits to betting on Milan games. The other player who held his hands up immediately got 12 months ban reduced to 7 months in plea bargain. Worst case scenario for Tonali is 3 year ban ! Cheers.
  21. I think Belingham has the potential to be the GOAT, he’s extremely good now, but what disappointed me about him last night was when an Italian pushed him in the chest, he went down like he’d been pole axed and rolled around holding his face ! He doesn’t need to do that. Cheers.
