I've seen rats running off with fully grown hens. Not to say that they had actively killed them or picked up a carcass.

Get them moved to where your seeing the rats. Leave them a couple weeks then check to see if you've had any success. Worth moving if your having no joy where they currently are ?

Ever thought or tried smearing a nice helping of peanut butter in to the trays aswell??, Might intice them in to start regularly coming to the feeder mate?

I would still give that one a go mate. I've used ones of that size in the past and have had good success. As long as the little shits don't stick there hands through the bars and drag whatever bait your using through it. Set the trigger plate nice and light and you'll be well away.

I've used these on quite a few occasions. Ideal in loft spaces but I have had squirrels get an edge and gnaw through the top of one goodnature and get to the lure that way. Something to bare in mind mate. Stick to the fenns I'd say
