    Why ? I remember when I was a kid (37 now) my old man always kept dog and bitch together . I came away from dogs to work and travel now I have settled back in England with wife and kid I've got back into dogs and am bringing another pup in this winter , so I feel I have a idea what to do just after views , why a disaster mate It is a receipe for disaster, i have made the mistake in the past, all can be rosy for years then something happens and thats that......No offence, you say you have an idea and your are just after peoples views, surely you would know why and how it often ends in disa

    if i was you i would see if you can get a racing grey hound bitch that has been banned for fighting i have ran alot of them on hare and they wer top class very high prey drive I dont quite see why you link fighting and prey drive? The are mutually exclusive, i would hate a fighter and would never introduce it into any line on purpose.......

    Ws always easier on the fens Local i hunted huge fields bordered by forest of several thousand acres so if a dog did go it was stressfull, but its the same if your dog is taken away in the beam, its just a case of waiting and 99 times out of a hundred they will be back soon enough, now i work smaller fields and the dogs can be out of sight quickly. I joked about terriers but nowadays im very carefull on the type of land i let them off the lead, i can;t be doing with the palpitations.....had terriers find their own entertainment and find them 3 days later........

    And the sick feeling gets worse when you realise they could be to ground somewhere deep in the woods....horrible feeling. Nah mine are alright Von, they are claustrophobic and scared of the dark

    I hate it when a dog has been taken out of sight, i soon get that sick feeling in my stomach until they return, its even worse with terriers, as it can be hours..........

    When i was a child i always thought i would be the little woman in the log cabin (Old American films) with the big pan of food boiling away on the open fire, my husband would be outside in his checkered shirt chopping the logs for the fire I had the same dream..........
