  8. Im sure finding the right home for a dog you care about is more important than money, i hope you find him a suitable home where he is worked, well cared for and appreciated....... sad thing is in this day and age if i HAD to get rid of my dogs and my mates didnt have room i'd PTS to avoid the huge number of plebs in the game......
  9. Interesting one, i can safely say i dont think i have a chance of calling mine off once there running, BUT i think it could be a very handy as sometimes things crop up in the field, i have never tried it with a lurcher but i think i could drum it into them, but i wont. My manwork dogs were very very high drive and could be called off a bite 9 times out of 10 but this was often required in competition and they only way to acheive it with many of them was using an electric collar. As i said, i believe it can be done but requires a lot of hard work and its not something i will insist on........

Well for once i will post a reply without a hint of sarcasm or piss taking. Thank you ALL for your kind words and best wishes in what has quite frankly been a terrifying few months, they are genuinely moving. I always assumed i was unbreakable so to be told you have a brain tumour at 38 brought me into the land of reality and scared me like never before, especially having young children. Also loosing a lot of my sight in 3 months was terrifying, it stopped my driving and hunting in december. The staff at the QMC in Nottingham do an amazing job in diificult conditions and it was an expe

  21. So you have JUST got the dog, think he is about 3/4 and THINK is from Billy lines, so a dog you dont know the age of, you dont know the breeding of and its now summer so you cant properly see the dog work(never mind seeing him work over several seasons), yet despite all this you are thinking of buying a bitch and putting the dog across it? What then sell the pups as Billy lines for £££ Give your head a wobble lad and reel your yourself in a bit.......
  22. Interesting question, why didn't hares evole into ground dwelling species to avoid predators rather than developing such tremendous athletic ability?
