  2. Chief, Do you find any difference on your success rate whether they are started on rats or not? Did you used to start with rats or have you always started them straight to ground? Thanks Simon
  3. Just a question for the experienced digging lads. What is the eldest that a dog has jibbed/jacked/spewed on you? Have some promising terriers worked several seasons and then given up and has any major event led to them quitting?
  4. I have some paperwork at home form when I tested my pup. Its a list of tests that help determine a pups future dominance, retreive, sound sensitivity. We have tested litters of collies, shepherds, spaniels and they are pretty accurate. I can try and dig them out if you want?
  5. Bracken Spyder Bryn Murphy Axel Nothing special just liked the names.
  6. Hi Alun, Have you considered puppy testing them? You can test for things like retreive instinct, prey drive etc?
  7. Like the lurcher at the bottom Tommy, sounds like a great day out.
  8. For the sake of other road users SCRAP IT
  9. I think its great that your terrier is being given a job but just because her litter mates are earthdogs it doesn't guarantee your bitch would work Only proven dogs should be bred from, this is how the working (digging) ability gets diluted. My bitch's sire and dam were both hunt terriers and from what i'm told the rest of the litter went on to be competent fox dogs, however my bitch mainly goes ratting and I didn't/don't get the chance to test her properly, so I got her spayed. Surely if your friends dogs are good then he would be breeding from them and keeping back stock rather than keepi

Poor sod, next thing they will be breeding from it to get more dogs with the trait. There is a strain of goat in America that does the same thing
  11. It was revenge for ripping dogs bellies out  That old defence method
  12. I looked at a couple of the other vidoes, have a look at the fully auto shotgun and the glock with a drum magazine

    What have

I've been lucky enough to chat to a few genuine hunters via pm's and meet a couple in the flesh. I also learn something different all the time. I think the forums are great for picking up new info
  14. Good work The dog on the left looks a beast
  15. I just couldn't bring myself to eat roadkill anything I liked the comment he made about badger, they collect and bury there dead Also on Jimmys farm last night when one guy was explaining that rats go for the throat
  16. Joe, Hows your lurchers leg coming along??
  17. For me the true test of a terrier is DIGGING, plain and simple. However foxtrack you seem to be attacking terrier owners who enjoy ratting. You tell them not to post and keep it to themselves, I have posted photos and threads after ratting as to be honest my permission is mainly rats and there are many members on this site who regularly post good ratting threads, don't try and cause diversions in terrier owners and when you own this site then you can dictate what can and can't be posted. If you want to improve the quality of the posts then how about a few threads and photods about your digg
  18. No offence mate but you ask for somebody to take you on there hard earned permission and think the guy is being nosey when he asks a few perfectly resonable questions. If you don't like being asked questions go out and get your own permission.................
