We travelled to Suffolk a few years ago to put on a manwork training weekend. We pulled into a picnic area and I was surprised to see a number of cars there at 2300. I asked what was going on and my mate told me this was a dogging car park I said lets go somewhere else but he asked me as we unloaded 4 shepherds what was I worrying about I used to be a dog warden on the Lincolnshire coast and there is a spot in the dunes were people meet. I only found this after taking my sarnies to the beach to watch the army detonating the old bombs in the sand. After the first explosion about a doz

I also work in the country, my office in surrounded by 500 acres. I just love being out in the country, dusk or dawn are great but nowdays dawn sees me up at 0600 getting my girls ready ready for the day and dusk sees me reading stories and giving baths so i'll take anytime

An interesting thread. Once I have finished my work contract in a few years I will be packing my family, belongings and traps up and heading straight out to NZ. The grass maybe greener and all that but soon there will be no grass at all left here in Britain, metaphorically speaking. OTC Yes mate, I love getting out into the countryside and live in a rural county but evrrywhere you turn nowdays theres somebody there.

For us the way of life is the main atraction. Just look at the recent polls showing Britain as the worst place for raising children. As for moaning about immigrants, a bit hypocrital of me to say anything if i'm to become one.

Don't hold back fellman As I said I have no axe to grind and yes people do bull slightly around the beer tent after a couple but there are so many genuine lads out there and when you put down your stories in print and sell them as factual (which he did) and that gives youngsters in the sport (like me) the wrong impression. Nobody could tell a tale like him but I remember going ferreting and he was telling me how many rabbits were in the warren by the dogs marking I was young and believed this. Disturbed/Hairybull, Is permission fairly easy to get out there? Am I right in thinking the only legal quarry for terriers and running dogs are rabbit and fox? Cheers Simon

I've got one for work socks but I can't get on with the driving position, there is no room for your right arm........I have more faith in the off road ability of the landy compared to my Navara but find it much better to drive.

I knew Brian a little and he was good to me but the thing that annoys so many terriermen is that most of the stories were FICTION.
