    Adam, i believe you believe he isn't interested but although we can't read a dogs mind i'd bet stabbas left testicle that the dog has mutton in his mind when near sheep, especially so soon after killing one. The dog needs flooding with sheep contact or at some point, when returning out of sight of just "pepped" up he will do it again, and tbh either you have very forgiving farmers, dont want to put the effort in or are doing an ostrich and burying your head in the sand, regardless its your dog and at the end of the day your problem

    This is not something that can be diagnosed over the internet, you need to see a vet. It could be a number of things, epilepsy, a neurological disorder/disease but it needs specialist advice, not via Jeff who works for Lidl and keeps beddie whippets

    Before i start dont go all abusive and call me a muppet or i'll cry Personally I would work the dog alone without the influence of another dog, the hard mouth could be caused as the dog returns he doesn't want to give the catch up due to jealousy. Perhaps its time to go back to basics away from the field and then try again when the season starts?

    Thanks Simoman do you know which edition - was there only the one? I'm sure it had a speckled cattle dog cross on the front and orange cover? Thats right, there was a second one, with a blue cover, i beleive Phil edited them both

    My advice for poachers would be ensure you have enough water in your pan or the eggs wont cook properly

    France has a total ban on running quarry with lurchers but many other European countries have more relaxed legislation. Its just the UK thats fecked..........

Edited to add the fact of life is some folk do poach, BUT its all about respect of the land, property and quarry and nowdays too many arseholes have little for any..........

    I think there is a general confusion between a physical correction and beating your dog because you have no self control......Titbits, voice and clickers are great and have there uses but i spent many years training imported shepherds, malinois and rotties, try correcting a high drive dog with a high pain threshold with a naughty boy comment and the offer of a biscuit..........

    There are bound to be shite wheatens out there but it must be said wheaten lurchers are nowhere near as popular as other crosses and long may that continue............

    I own a wheaten lurcher and have seen a few but none of them have ever had Kennel Club blood, its the same as any other ruined show shite..........
