  1. Ah, my favourite shop. I used some of those imperial in the eighties, wit ‘D’ headstamp. Haven’t seen any since. Can’t remember if they were good though ??
  2. Whilst I haven’t considered one before, due to the current situation regarding lockdown it doesn’t look like my 12ltr bottle will be getting tested and refilled anytime soon. Are these moderately priced (£40 ish) pumps for sale on line any good, or are they likely to leak or fall apart quickly? I’m not afraid of putting a bit of effort in, just wondering if anyone has had any experience of them? Thanks for any replies ?
  3. Nice one, where d’ya pick them up SD ?
  4. Spot on that bumpy, a pal of mine took his garden shed down and burnt it to get rid. I said to him that we could have used that for a hide. Oh well.......?
  5. Well done Andrew, good that your sister is interested as well?
  6. Not sure fella, the last new ones I saw were £399 at Chris Drapers a couple of years back. He had a few in stock at the time I think.Used prices I don’t know? They are incredibly short and light, almost toy like. Makes my hw100ks seem bulky by comparison.
  7. Yerr, I’ve got one of these contours, it’s like a pistol with a shoulder stock. Light as anything, and accurate. Magazine is a bit fussy though, but otherwise a good little carbine. I like the falcon light hunter and Titan mpt as well. All worth a look if you want a lightweight gun.
  8. I’ve got a couple of tins of these John. I’ve had them probably the best part of twenty years. They were originally bought to use in a Theoben eliminator but it didn’t like them. I haven’t seen any for sale for a long time. I might try them in my fac impact .22, see how they perform?
  9. Interesting, are the Remington’s old stock or are they still in production? I’ve found federal classic to be cheap and accurate but not much luck with most of Remington’s.22’s ?
  10. Yerr, had a few blockages myself with hmr, then that’s the session done. To say how many .22 rf rounds I’ve fired over the years, including really cheap stuff, I’ve never had a blocked barrel and not many ftf’s. Recent hmr ammo seems better though, don’t want to speak too soon mind...?
  11. Don’t believe everything the mice tell you.........?
  12. I’ve read that too, but I’ve also read about them doing 30,000 plus and still accurate? Either way, I’ll ask him, but I’d be surprised if it did 7,000..
  13. I’d agree with that. I’ve had my cz hmr for years but I don’t do a proper clean until accuracy starts to go off a bit. Over the years it’s had a few bullets stuck part way down the bore due to squib rounds and it’s got a few marks in the bore. It stared off at 22:1/2 inches and it’s been cut down to 15 inches probably eight or nine years ago. Anyway, it’s still as accurate as it ever was. I just pull a bore snake through before I put it away. I know someone who did a proper clean on a Sako quad hmr every time he’d used it and needed a new barrel after a few years. So what’s the best regime? We
  14. It was the same one walking round in circles ?
  15. Just a couple of rabbits can leave a lot of footprints though Mark.??
  16. Glad you had a bit of sport FD. I missed most of this afternoon, had dinner and fell asleep. Just been woken up for a cuppa️?
  17. Drizzle here today. Beef rib roast dinner washed down with plenty of vin. Just about to tuck in.....??
  18. Well, we’ve eventually got a bit of a cold snap, but into tier 4 tomorrow. Been feeding today, still wet, but the frost has come too late for this season now.
  19. Absolutely spot on, couldn’t agree more ??
  20. Good write up and a good result SD. .22 mag or.17?
