Don’t believe you??? Just joking...we got barrow loads, literally, when we took some old poultry sheds down. Never counted them, but how many can you get in a wheelbarrow piled high , times god knows how many? It was unbelievable......taken with a combination of fourtens, terriers and spades.

Heads up on saving time on Christmas morning. I’ve come across these tinners. Going to save some time and effort for sure. Two and a half minutes in the microwave and ping, it’s done. I don’t know what my lot are moaning about it, I’ve got them a tin each. ?

Cheers Mark. Just goes to show that you might not get what you expect. I’ve shot lots with hmr and sometimes they’re ripped open and sometimes hardly a mark on them. I shot one with .22 hornet ballistic tip and the squirrel basically exploded.

Good shot Mark. I prefer to shoot the old springers free standing. Rifles like the sport handle and sit in the hands and point so well imo?

There’s a carpet of acorns on the woodland floor, no doubt about that, but I’ve still pulled them in with the peanuts. Probably takes a bit longer for them to catch on though. As you say, if we get a cold snap and there’s less natural food around they’ll be on ‘em quicker and in greater numbers. Managed thirteen in a small wood off one feeder over a couple of weeks. Moved that one now as it slowed down and I haven’t seen any in that wood since. I’m going to set some up in the new year in some larger woods if Boris will let me out to play.?

HW mods are quiet, but a bit on the big side. The internals are shit for the price ( 3 paper thin washers and a plastic hair roller for £50?) and A-tec wave is smaller and just as quiet as far as I can tell, and cheaper.
