  1. Another couple of offerings from Norma and also Winchester subsonic .22 magnum that are new to me. It would be interesting to see how these perform. Anybody tried any?
  2. I’d agree, cz’ s do the job but the prices are creeping up and there’s better finished guns available for similar money. I looked at a cz 527 hornet but the Weihrauch hw60 came in cheaper so I bought that. Nicer finish, nicer wood, brilliant trigger and for less money? Nothing wrong with cz’ s though, I’ve had one for years. Not sure if I’d buy another though?
  3. Good shooting Mark, just out of interest, what’s the choking on your ugartechea? Mine’s half and full, I’m thinking I might have the full choke barrel bored out to quarter........... Or do I just need more practice? ???
  4. Interesting stuff wolfie, don’t bother about converting to metres, I measure in feet and inches not that European metric rubbish ?
  5. Yerr, good rifles for the money. A friend of mine has one and I used it for a few days??
  6. I think that probe could benefit from a bit of a polish with wire wool or brasso before you fit the new o rings fella?
  7. For me the t bolt trigger is strange with no feel to it, more like a switch and it doesn’t seem to move much. Otherwise I like them, as said, the magazine is great. The only thing about the magazine for me is, in .22 I wouldn’t be able to load it with longs or shorts, only lr’s. But that’s just me and my liking for reduced loads for some applications. In .17hmr the t bolts are good little rifles imo, I particularly like the stainless varmint 16” model.
  8. I had a supersport .25 when they first came out. Cost £99 new, I regret selling it, shot loads of ferals with it. The only thing is, it would only shoot well with rhinos or pylarm. Other pellets were too tight and h&n ram point wouldn’t even fit in the barrel at all.
  9. When every piece of woodland in mainland Britain is laced with squirrel contraceptive daily, they may eventually be eradicated. On a small island like Anglesey where there’s no easy access for them it’s obviously a different situation. Dreaming do gooders, not realistic at all imo.
  10. If you knew who borrowed it you’d find it even more unbelievable Phil.
  11. I had a similar experience, lent a fourten out to thin numbers down in a large rookery. When it came back the barrel had been cut down with a hacksaw and no explanation. Unbelievable, good job it had no real monetary value. ?
  12. That’s a good result vm, I’ve had plenty of afternoons yielding only twos and threes. I only have one feeder out atm, and that’s in my garden. I think there’s just one coming to it though...I just haven’t had time to get out on them much lately. Just shot one woodpigeon and one magpie last week. Maggie got stuck in the tree.
  13. You had me worried for a moment SD. It will be good to see how you get on with it??
  14. The paintwork in the top picture looks like my truck ?
  15. Ive got a wildcat evo. It’s a good concept with easy baffle/calibre change imo. Not too heavy and doesn’t add too much length. The wildcat panther is good as well, also over barrel design, in fact, on my .22 hornet it’s as quiet as the evo despite being considerably smaller. The panther is only rated up to .17 fireball though, beyond that it’s out of its comfort zone. Both good mods I reckon. ?
  16. 121 yards, so he put the barrel to its head and pulled the trigger ? ? sorry, couldn’t resist ?
  17. Well, I’ve seen the masked singer, is this a new series, the masked shooter?? Great pictures Mark, thanks for sharing ??
  18. Is the little Chinese thing the same as the one that this fella is proudly exhibiting? If so, I know where there’s one that I could get for very little money, but are they worth the effort, what ft lbs could I realistically expect SD?
