    They were my favourite back in the seventies. Even the Heinz beans and sausages is a different recipe now. Not as tasty as they used to be. ?...and west end grill, what happened to that? A tin of them and a slice of bread and butter ?. Now that was posh nosh....?

    Had a look today and it was still on 180 bar since Sunday, so doesn’t seem to be leaking? Anyway I’d come across some h&n finale match pistol and some finale match rifle. I weighed a few and put a few over the chrono. Results were pistol 7.1 grain 835fps 10.99 ft lb / rifle 8.3 grain 790fps 11.50 ft lb and both consistent. Then I had a plink at some small conkers that I found on the ground from last year. These flathead match pellets proved accurate enough to consistently hit the conkers at 35 yards.     They were military style co2 rifles, but could have been mistaken for live firing as they are bolt action? Hmm?

    I know the bsa’s are accurate, I used to shoot them regularly. The sportsman’s were excellent little rifles??

    A top shot with a springer like yourself Simon, will no doubt get their money’s worth out of the prosport, more average shots would probably be happier with a pcp for similar outlay though. Just my opinion, I could be wrong ?

    Too expensive for the sum of its parts in my opinion, and I’m not left handed .........suppose it’s got some weigh in value though??

    Whatever Packham says must be true, and of course impartial, according to bbc. They won’t admit that any of their programs could be biased by arrogant egotistical presenters. So long as they cater for snowflakes, that’ll do for them, while the gullible swallow it all.

    Yerr, makes sense. I’ve just had a look, it’s still holding 180 bar. It’s a bit odd, it won’t take 200 bar, hissing air out down to 180, then stops and doesn’t seem to let any more out?

    As above. Permission to shoot often depends on who you know, getting involved with beating is a good way of getting to know the right people. Not a lot of beating going on at this time of year though, so in the mean time you need to keep asking about. Do you know anyone who already does vermin control, maybe you could start by helping out?

    Nice bit of plinking wolfie, it’s nice to use open sights, makes a change from scopes. A pal of mine has an old bsa .22 target rifle and it’s bang on at fifty yards?

    Yerr, I think so. Seems to be holding 180 bar, won’t take any more though. It drops down from 200 to 180 in a few seconds and then stops hissing. I might run it down and then do a quick sharp blast of air to refill in case there’s some dirt or debris in there?
