the US tied Bulgaria or someone like that so they advance, sorry England, shouldda played better against us cause we sure don't have the best team out there
  3. moms just a softie well maybe not she's been a good dog for J, even with a broken neck and a broken tailbone and countless run ins with fences, she's a bit accident prone Dan'll have to put pics of Stitch up if he wants
  4. yeah she'll be the best bitch you'll ever have
  5. it depends on what the actual problem is, take the dog to a track/running dog vet so he can diagnose for sure. I offered the toe-off as a possible solution as some (me included) would never consider something like that until I was told about it.

    Any ideas?

welcome back, and thanks for all you do!
  7. J said there weren't enough to go around as it is
  8. anything you didn't like about this growing method? And what did you like?
  9. of course they are going to all be awesome, but the little silver bitch is going to be special
  10. oh and the little silver bitch yawning is going to be the cracker in the litter! Awesome little thing!
  11. I know, I know before you say it, the lawnmower pull rope broke and it is at the repair place! Hope to pick it up today, it is a JUNGLE out there! But at least there are no huge piles of dog crap, old applicances and rusty roofing like in some other people pictures
  12. interesting ... I wonder if we have them here?
  13. she's just the right age for the upcoming season, good luck with her Ben!
  14. if it's an outside toe and/or the break is down in the tips you might be able to have a vet take the toe off.
  15. interesting thanks for the info, had not heard anything about them before nor seen them. I don't know if you guys have it there, but there is a black fungus that grows on the silk of sweetcorn (maize). Now I've seen it growing and it looks absolutely hideous, but it is supposed to be a delicacy in south American dishes, and is rated really highly in fine cuisine. Makes me wonder though how COULD it taste good? But I'd try it if it was prepared properly!
  16. Speaking to an old aquaintance and the subject of car/motorcycle wrecks came up, made me think of the ones I've seen and the ones I've been in. First horrible one I ever saw was when a van in front of me full of 15 people blew a front tire and flipped about 8 times on the highway between California and Las Vegas ... really really scary and a mess that closed the freeway for hours (with me the second car back!) when it was about 110 degrees out! Another one was a cattle hauler that overturned and caused something like a 20 car pileup ... that was a mess! Last summer some stupid bitch h
  17. Did you go by the farmers place to tell him what happened, appologize, pay any possible damages (offer he likely won't take)? The ram might need attention or at least a eye kept on it, and it might also give you a way to speak to him about properly breaking your dog to them. It is the right thing to do as far as coming clean to the farmer, he will likely appreciate the honesty and you would avoid someone else being blamed for your situation (such as "those damn lurcher lads/motor poachers/ etc"). Plus you never know who might have seen you.
  18. nothing wrong with that, you just have to change training tactics a bit!
  19. tastewise too? And does it grow just on the ground, or at the base of trees? or ???
  20. I want one here but our weather is too severe, high winds/large hail several times a year I'm so jealous!
  21. what about on walks on leash where there ARE distractions? You could start adding those distractions, take her on the walk before you've fed her so she is a bit hungry, have a pocketful of kibble and see how that goes.
  22. the biggest complaint I've heard is if you aren't good about harvesting and something drops, it splats or bruises badly. I would think those in colder, shorter growing periods would see the greater benefit ... here, you plant something and it grows pretty much without effort. But up north when the temperature just isn't as warm, the extra warmth to the roots in the bag would probably be beneficial? I don't know personally anyone who has done it ...
