but they legally had to have a reason ...
  3. and its not just the kid and parents affeted for life, everyone who they are involved with are affected too ... friends, spouses, siblings, co-workers ... everyone because of the actions of one sick f**k. Either lock them up for life (if they have the money to pay for their own jailing) or exterminate them.
  4. Is there an "ignore" feature for forums that I have no interest in? Like when I click on "new content" and it shows every new post since my last visit ... there are several forums I have no interest in, so can I block those forums?

why was he taken to jail in the first place though? Surely taking the horses was one thing (right or wrong), but why arrest him?
  6. good its happened now before you are starting to get fit for the season!
  7. we just say "kinda like a greyhound" ... makes it easier than explaining anything really, unless we are talking to a farmer, then we go into more depth hoping for more permission!
  8. there are some people here who breed haflingers, they are marketed as the ultimate carting pony, they might be interesting to give a try!
  9. what did the greyhound vet tell you to do?
  10. had a big 14+ smooth dog by Alf that was good, killed by a horse before he could be tested past a couple of dozen digs and barnhunts, overall a very nice dog and one of only 2 Russells that I would have again if I could go back in time
  11. ripe fruits of all types ... just had the most amazing pluot yesterday, and a delicious mango the week before ... I should be a fruit taster Santa Maria Style Tri Tip or crispy broiled pork loin, spinach salad with raspberries and blue cheese, key lime pie and watermelon in the summer Spicy Honey ham with mustard, corned beef & cabbage, roasted lamb with lots of salt, garlic and homemade sweet mint jelly, or buffalo and venison chili when it is cold any mexican, indian, carribian ... I love food
  12. 3 total, his, and then someone who had one which was stolen so he got a second one, then the first one was found
  13. I saw a interview with him probably 3 or so years into his career, and his favorite place to go other than to the pigeon coops was to a home for mentally handicapped kids where he helped out financially and just hung out playing video games with the kids. Really touching and I always remember that video whenever I think of Mike Tyson. He was a client of mine when I lived in Las Vegas, only talked to him twice as I normally dealt with his "handler", very polite and almost apologetic in the way he talked. He also had the first Mercedes Maybach that I ever rode in ... what a car!
  14. the pups have been fed on flesh (meats and fats ground up together), kibble (in that pic it was blended in a blender), egg, blended spinach, lambmilk replacer and water ... only difference now is I don't blend up the kibble, and they get cubes of uncooked beef and pork fat trimmed in the kitchen at Kye's work. lol sorry thats the male going to Dan, you can "fight em" for it
  15. how the hell do you successfully co-parent with someone who is completely unreasonable? We've been split for years (thank god) but the punishments he metes out to our daughter are extreme in my opinion. What do you folks with split homes do?
  16. thanks Mack thats been about 10 days ago, she looks better now, will put one of her up from today when I get the rest of the pup pics up for Kye tonight
  17. here is a teaser, will get more up later
  18. dog training classes can be really good for socializing dogs and teaching new dog owners how to train their dogs. It is better than a dog sitting in the backyard or on walks where they never see any other dogs or people. Just like with anything else there are crap trainers and schools, they are not all the same. It is just like paying for a gym membership or workout class ... yes you could go for a walk around and lift weights on your own, but it you are paying for the pleasure you "should" be more likely to attend the gym/class.
  19. a big fire where I used to live was believed to have been started that way but it was a Condor or buzzard
  20. I paid about 50 quid to have a front outside toe off, never affected the dogs running or turning after the recovery
  21. the floor you are painting has to be prepared properly, that is always where floors fail
  22. in regards to kids, grassing is completely ok in my book, period. LG the problem with grassing in regards to dogs, horses etc is just because someone else treats their animals differently than you would, who are we to say its wrong? And often what we see or hear is not what we think we saw. Think about this ... a well meaning neighbor sees a thin dog limping and crying out when touched by owner who maybe isn't "coo'ing" over the dog, maybe it's a guy just matter of factly moving the dog from kennel to yard or car to kennel ... was it abused, or did it hit a fence post while out lamping?
  23. quarters are a very steady breed, some lines have lots of "eye" for cutting cattle, roping, basically ranch (or rodeo) work. Some have HUGE asses, thick shoulders, short legs, no neck ... it was a show fad that got out of hand, and they are too laid back for me, I like some spirit in my animals (but then I used to like Jack Russells too before my nerves couldn't take them anymore .) They make good all around horses and tend to be more working type horses. Where we boarded as kids most of the horses were quarters, we had the only Arabs on the place. Quarters make good trail horses for mo
  24. I could watch those vids all day long
