  2. good luck in finding them homes, your honesty is a breath of fresh air after some of the crap that gets found out later on ... but please do the right thing and do not put any remaining pups in rescue, one of these dogs in the wrong home is a bad bad thing glad to hear your luck has turned around and work has picked up, nice to hear people are actually working and not just on the dole
  3. the company I work for does heart/stroke policies, cancer, and some others, and unless YOU have had heart problems or cancer, your family history doesn't matter. Which is good news for those of us who have bad family history to worry about! I guess with the NHC you guys don't battle with the high costs of health care like we do, but I would assume there must be SOMETHING available to help cover utilities, travel to hospitals etc. Worth their weight in gold if you can get one.
  4. I couldn't watch the clip, but I am sure it puts things in perspective and makes you think. I lost my mom and dad to cancer, and my sisters and I are afraid every day that it will take us to, which is a terrible thing to obsess on. I sell supplemental insurance policies, some of the stories I hear are horrible, some are wonderful, and since I "feel" such a connection with these people, I absolutely love what I do. Good luck to everyone out there with friends, family and themselves who are battling cancer. I am not a religious person but I hope for a cure every single day.
  5. make a game of it, teach the dog separately to #1 come when called and #2 retrieve its prize, and then reward it when it does either or both of these things ... if it knows you are just going to take it away and give it a telling off, why WOULD the pup come to you or give its prize to you? Good luck, pups are trying, which is why I hate them lol
  6. how in the f**k is that even remotely fair?
  7. Layers pellets is like you only eating processed food ... the more natural, organic items they can eat, the happier and healthier they'll be. If they are allowed to freerange too far, they won't produce as many eggs as they are buring off a lot foraging, but I like seeing them scratting around so I'll sacrafice a few eggs. I like to put bales of hay and wooden boards down flat on the ground and move them every week, bugs and worms and mice will be found underneath and gives the chickens a new place to scratch in. In the winter they are cooped up and are only able to eat pellets and tabl

  10. she's been one of Brides Magazines "Best 50 Wedding Cake Designers in the US" for 2 years, not bad for a self taught designer who never went to any culinary or art school! She really is amazing, here is this years entry which had its own page in the magazine. The flowers were made of gumpaste and were edible!
  11. my sister is a cake designer and does everything freehand and all edible sugar and chocolate moulding, she did this horse one so I thought I'd post it as I am very proud of her talent! It doesn't really do the real thing justice, and they are AMAZINGLY tasty, you would never taste better flavor combinations of what she bakes.
  12. Anyone know if Aaron is back online yet?
  13. f*****g ace Ian thanks, how you deciphered what I was trying to say is beyond me
  14. I am having a problem with the site, at the top right corner under my name where PM's show, the white box that contains "My profile, my settings, my content, messenger, manage friends etc" won't go away ... The box blocks the log out button, so now Kye can't log in ... any suggestions?

  17. I would assume in a hutch they are eating dried pellets and alfalfa so they are not collecting it naturally from their natural source of moisture (grass and roots as described above) cuagusgiorrai what can you tell us about that pic?
  18. garlic helps with everything from fleas to ticks to mozzys, much easier to feed when you are feeding flesh though! I just get a tub of the precrushed stuff and everyone gets a spoon of varrying sizes a couple of times a week.
