I am not surprised by this. While many see 410 as a pip squeak and a 12g as a mans shotgun the 410 actually operates at much higher pressure. When the action is unlocked it's the residual pressure that cycles the action. In a 410 that will be greater than a 12g.
I have seen such devices. They end up being just where you like to carry the gun and make it a fiddle working the gun!
A better solution would be for manufacturers to make the extractor and port lower in the receiver and the ejector higher one the opposite side.
First pheasant of the season. A cock bird hunted and shot with a flintlock. Out before light but only found hens.
Back out late afternoon and I got on this cockbird.
The rain was bad and keeping a flintlock functional in such conditions is a challenge!
