To be honest give me a normal load of #4 for fox any day. They don't take that much stopping and multiple strikes win any day.

Well I stayed at home today and shredded tin cans with the air guns until I could not cock another barrel! The pellets are gonna take some getting through!

Well lead actually. Whilst buying black powder today I asked the proprietor if he had any lead shot to which he replied " sort of"! He then produced this old ammo box full of all sorts of lead airgun pellets, ball and shot. I bought the lot for a good price. There is more shot alone in the value of what I paid for it and enough air gun pellets to last me out! Sifting the shot through a collider was easy enough but sorting the pellets is a royal pain in the ....... SD.

Today was much better. From first light to 3pm I hunted and this time with a frontstuffer ?. Fasted for 18 hours today too. Knackered now though and the granddaughter and Mrs are about to turn up ?. Think I'm going to have this rabbit to myself ? SD.

...turned out damp! Again!! I took the easy option gun wise, Hatistani. I have been meaning to test it since my modifications! It would occasionally hang up on 67 mm cases so I studied the action and noticed the cartridge lifter may of been kicking the cartridge up in such a way the front of the cartridge could just catch the rim recess in the barrel and hold the action open. The front end of the lifter just needed the folds spreading a fraction. Well today there was no hang ups at all ?. Put three timber doodles up but only got one shot and missed at that! Two woodies

But dude, you have bought another gun! Like most of us do. One could buy a second hand rimfire for peanuts and it will shoot just as good as a new one. A person could get a licence, lock up and a 22 for £200. Your not gonna match that with air. And they don't leak. We're all the same, shooters can justify anything, look at me, I use muzzleloaders. How crackers is that?

I once shot a rabbit through the head and the bullet bounced off the turf the other side and screamed for thirty yards and then hit dead center an empty steel pheasant feeder. The dent in the steel was similar to a dent made by a sub 12 air rifle! A zinging bullet sounds worse than it is and in fact the noise is a clear sign of rapid energy conversion and usually does not last long.
