  2. Thanks all. You gotta have a good roof RFB! Tomorrow is chores day for me, starting with the leaves! Bloody things are everywhere. Then the Mrs will come up with extra stuff no doubt!
  3. ....to my mate Baldcoot ? He found some lead shot in his shed and packed it up and sent it to me for free. The size is perfect for my 410 reloads as I like the smaller shot sizes in 410 and I had just run out of it too so perfect timing mate?. Thanks a bunch BC. Some decent blokes on here. SD.
  4. Used my .63 flintlock today and it always pleases. I used some wads and nitro cards I pulled from 20g cartridges in summer. I just used the nitro card on the powder and put the olive oil soaked fibre wad on top of the shot. Worked well, using #5 shot today I got two squirrels, two pigeons and a cock pheasant. I missed some winged vermin and a third pigeon. I did a little experiment too. I loaded five large balls loose in a greased patch after the powder and nitro card. Check this thirty yard group. I was aiming for the brick behind the trigger so needed to
  5. I do really, it's doing anything else I don't like.
  6. If you mean snow you can keep it mate!
  7. By the way, that's some posh wet weather gear Ben!
  8. I was in work with a LOUSY STINKING COLD #9! Not there tomorrow and want to walk but will I be up to it? If not then I'm gonna be real GRUMPY! ?
  9. Absolutely mate. Get a target in the extreme bottom of the scope and your into hundreds of yards ?. We use to lob them across a valley, we guessed that to be in excess off six hundred. The spring drilled fields exposed big rocks for targets and the soil helped us walk the shots in. We use to do it with the centerfires to beyond 1000 yards for giggles. Even the 357 got out there pretty good!
  10. I must be up on zinc then ?
  11. No no. I know when I've been banned. I get BANNED plastered across the screen!
  12. I recently took the mod off my wmr. Sure it's a little louder for the operator but it makes no difference in the field. The crack from those tiny 17 bullets is a quieter crack than from a larger bullet so stifling the muzzle blast from combustion does offer a value in noise reduction but as meece says its still there. I took mine off because I care more for my muzzle crown than any bunny hugger getting upset by evil shooting.
  13. I didn't read " preferably when the woman ain't wearing them"! Oh carp!
  14. Checked the camera yesterday....I'm feeding a bloody cat! ?
  15. We were off line.....why? SD.
  16. Thirty years welding buddy, everything one should not breath in I have especially ozone, the damage of which is irreversible.
  17. It's only for mice! It'll still make their ears ring.
  18. What the heck is matcha tea?
  19. Ok I just started #9 this year. They hammer me every time, probably from a career in welding. How many have you lot had so far and is there anything better than strong liquer to get through it? SD.
  20. A turbo'd 22lr! That's a 22wmr isn't it ?
  21. Actually there are/is the odd dead bird but they get left/ignored! That sounds good! The bait has been out all weekend but not touched. Tonight I will collect the camera to see if anyone is at least passing it.
  22. Fair shot in the dark and a nice specimen. I went ratting and to listen for fox's but heard nothing. Keep at 'm mate.
