  1. Thats what we were thinking but just watched a load of examples on you tube and its different. its not persistant. Shes is sleeping quite happily then wakes up coughs four of five times then seems ok but does it every 5 or 10 mins.
  2. My bitch started coughing after a run today, its a dry cough almost a retch and shes doing it alot. There is nothing stuck in her throat or mouth and her breathing is normal until she coughs. i am just bringing her back to fitness after an injury and the run was an accident that just got up in front of her. Does anyone have any ideas? is it possible she strained herself running?
  3. Bloody hell Do they always talk / type like that?!?!? i never got to the end of the discussion as i'd already died of boredom! Hurray for THL , i couldnt wade through all that everytime i logged on
  4. Try it with a different scope. if it still does it then the gun has a problem, if that fixes it then you need to buy a new scope Also worth getting it chronographed to see if its been fiddled with. Let us know the results, good luck!
  5. im sure there are other good nets out there but i just wanted to reccommend this guy. There are often posts asking where to get good nets from, well this is my suggestion
  6. As above, second time i've bought of him. Very impressed with quality, cost and service. Anyone looking for nets could do alot worse.
  7. Slow in my neck of the woods too. Seems like its bad all over the country this year
  8. Happy to give you a day out mate, wont be this side of xmas though im afraid. Are you new to all hunting or just ferreting?
  9. Who banned him? Sounds like you are getting victimised for having lurchers. if they are under control, which i assume they are, there should be no need for the muzzle, nor has the farmer any right to demand it if you are on the footpath. As for threatening to shoot them i would tell him to go f*ck and then find a better place to excersize them. Just my opinion but dont seem too fair on the dogs? By the way, they dont look fat at all to me it wouldn't surprise me that I'm being victimised, I got stopped when I got off the bus from college the other day to say that if my dogs go nea
  10. Same round me. The population seems to be slowly dwindling away. Places that use to be heaving with them a few years ago seem to just about be holding and so many of the buries we used to do as kids have just been abandonned. i hadnt thought of VHD, i've not seen any evidence of it but then wouldnt really know what to look for The rabbits we take seem clean and healthy just not alot of them. Had a bit of mixy but no worse than before i think.

Good to see your dogs whin, heard alot about them in your posts but never seen you put pics up. Nice one
  13. Good idea, hard one to arrange though.
  14. Thanks guys. Anyone else having a lack of rabbits problem this season?
  15. These coyote hunting threads are very interesting, its great to hear how its done else where. im very impressed by these dogs
  16. she is bout 13mths old, thanks for the help lads Just be careful mate, i had a lot of problems with my bitch when she pulled her shoulder at about 11 or 12 months. Both she and i thought she was ready but apparently not and it took about three months to get her sorted out. Vet said that although she seemed grown the growth plates on the end of her bones were still soft. She wasnt run hard either just four or five runs a night at easy rabbits but it still caused the damage. All dogs mature at different ages so yours might not have the same problem, either way good luck and happy hunting
  17. is that from a bite or did you finish that one with a knife? Great stories you put up, keep them coming Edited to add, your dogs are impressively unmarked, they must really know what they are doing. See alot of fox dogs over here more scarred up and they are only working fox. i only work rabbit so im no expert but it i suppose it means they have good very good technique on the kill. Good work!
  18. Not posted any trips for a while as had no camera but a mate came with me this weekend and took some pics on his phone. We started out about 7.45 to try an area of woodland i've not been on so far this season as all my usual spots seem to be suffering a lack of bunnies. i lamped the field the night before and saw a few rabbits using the area not lots but more than elsewhere. Set up on a 40 hole bury which had about ten really active holes and entered all three jills. After a bit of bumping two rabbits bolted into the nets in quick succession . it all went quiet after that and then to
  19. is this the young one? if it is it might be the growth plates getting swollen from too much running?
  20. Cheers guys, all good info. i have my eye on an old copper water tank at the mo which would be good but its not an option a filing cabinet sounds good too. i will keep you updated on my progress!
  21. Not bad going mate. We were out sunday and barely scraped together 6 but it was a struggle. i just dont know where the numbers have gone? Theres places i've been going all my life that have always held and this year every bury seems to be abandonned. That hob you gave me is going well, he's a killer. He dosent get out as much as he should as alot of the buries are deep so i prefer the jills to bolt them but when we do shallow sets he is a diamond! if you ever fancy a change of scenery i still owe you a day out for him but i just cant promise a huge bag glad your happy with h
  22. Well done mate. The more tricky ones are the ones you remember
  23. Try ebay, seller called Ashmay (or something similar) good nets good price. He does very good purse nets too
