  1. Filling block walls with concrete today, while trying to keep an eye on this prick, mate said “ he’s no bother “ 10 minutes in he’s killed a pheasant and scoffed my banana, the tw*t
  2. Me little wagtail has hatched what looks to be 4 of the 5 eggs she was sitting on, I’m pleased I covered the nest back up
  3. Not as exciting as spot the fox, but spot the pheasant
  4. Burning ? tyre round the neck is what’s needed here how can they be given bail before sentencing with a charge like that?
  5. Another warm’un, I had the concrete gaffer watching over me while the second half of the shed floor went in, gate posts in and first layer of stone levelled ready for 100 tonne of 40mm tomorrow
  6. It was on a gate post on the moors, apparently it’s a Rhagio Scolopaceus, a male I think, smart looking thing
  7. Just the one, ice cold, just what I needed after a hard day’s graft, like a can of pop
  8. It’s certainly been a warm one, 45 posts concreted in, back breaking, but another job out the way
  9. Lovely bit of beef today, might be time for a nap now
  10. Removing some boards from the inside of a barn I found a pied wagtail sitting on 5 eggs, managed to put a bit of board back up, much to the annoyance of the owner and she was soon sitting again
  11. Get em on gumtree or evilbay they will sell straight away, if you’ve got 150 they’ll easily do a tenner a pop
  12. That’s a very generous offer, if I’d of been closer I’d of bunged you a few quid for them. ?
  13. Deconstructed cottage pie missus ask what I was doing for tea, I said “ cottage pie “ she said I’d rather have a mince dinner it’s the same FU*KING THING, just not put together
  14. I’m not sure, I would of thought the problem with putting steel in is when you hit the concrete it vibrates the steel and cracks the concrete along the steel, unless it’s really thin wire, who knows, I’m just guessing
  15. That’s not bad if you are only going to do it once in your lifetime, there must be some amount of fibre in that concrete to be able to put them in with a post knocker and not have to dig them in
  16. I did a little horse arena a few months back and managed to get hold of some for 20 quid each, built a corner retaining wall from them, they will last forever
  17. I’ve never seen them before, they look really good, I bet they are not cheap but you will only do it once
  18. Your not wrong, them sleepers we use for beds and retainers are crap now, looked at some I put in about 6 years ago and they are rotten
  19. I’ve got a pile of posts and rails that are going back, only good for fire wood
  20. Fencing going in, the quality of the timber now is shocking, some of the posts would come back if you flung them away
  21. You are spoiled with shooting down there ? I’ve just had an invite to go out on the munty’s around Gedney, just need to get my work/ life balance in order
