    A brutal day mixing and laying 12 bags of 20mm sand and gravel, I’ll guarantee it will crack, with the speed it was going off and no retarder in the mix, but it’s getting covered

    If this lad only had a fiver in his pocket, he’d still have more money than sense, I said it needs a lot of building up at the back to get a level and to get one of his lads to bring all the rubble from the top of the site, he must of thought that’s to much like hard work so got 17 dumpy’s of type 1 instead, oh well made my life easier, most expensive concrete pad in the area

    That special brew is dangerous gear, I had a mate, sadly no longer with us who was a bit of a piss head ( alcoholic) and now and then ( normally bank holidays) I’d go and have a few with him and a few would turn into a 3 day bender that I have no recollection of ( lol ) good times

    Hard work this lad, showed where he wants the pad, told him it want to be square to the building, no, he says I want it square to the decking, but the decking isn’t square I said, he’s said it’s the building that’s not square ( lol ) what am I working with here ( it wants to be where the board are but he wants it where the shuttering is)

    Back where I built the kids play area today, to clear some ground for a concrete pad for an outdoor kitchen, he was quoted £350 to take a tree down but then there was confusion over the TPO’s on the site, anyway it took me an hour ( lol )

    Not put owt on here for a bit because it’s a bit lite on people so here goes last week I got a phone call from a chicken farmer next to the sheep farm I shoot, apparently a fox had just knackered his rooster at 12 in the afternoon, so I had a trip up that evening, I really struggled to get on a fox due to it always being around the buildings, I got another phone call a couple of days ago tell me that the ginger tw*t had ran past the Tesco delivery lad at 2pm with a hen in its gob, jump forward a bit and tonight was the 4th attempt to deal with it, so this time I went to see the lad next d

    Sad news today of the passing of Gordon McQueen, now I’m not into football but came to meet him when me and the two lads I do most of my work with built their house, ( first place I did a resin driveway) a lovely man who liked nothing more then letting you buy him a pint in the pub down the road, my thoughts are with his wife Yvonne and the rest of the family

    Bypassing an old collapsed culvert today for the house across the lane from the horse arena job, 130 metres of 9” twin wall, you’d never know we’d been put in for 2 days, did it in a day, which I’m glad about because the flies were mental, bloke got a few quid off so he’s happy and I got somewhere else to shoot rabbits, oh yeah, and his house is stunning, just looks like an old barn from the lane until you go around the back ?

    Cheers, hopefully they are as pleased with it as we are crazy to think this is all for their 15 year old daughter and her 2 pony’s, just shows there’s still a lot of money out there
