It’s only brunch, OAP’s tend to get up early

Another chicken dinner today, now off on my meals on wheels round, dinner for my mam, apple crumble for the mother-in-law and bags of wheat for my flying chickens

What were they like?

Picked some nice cookers earlier, stewed them in dark brown sugar and lemon juice, they don’t look too clever but they smell amazing, I’m sure the mother-in-law will give me her opinion when I drop her one off

Had a run up my mates farm last night because he’s got a fox that’s upsetting the moo’s, got there and my mate was in the yard, we had a walk out the back, I passed him the thermal to show him 52 hares on a 40 acre field, he said to me “ you can fu*king sort them out” so I had an hour calling for a fox, didn’t see any so went back to the hares, now I only took 15 rounds for the .223 so used them up, kept 2 for my mate, gave the farmer half a dozen for the dog and left the wrecked ones for the fox, I’ll be back with the HMR to thin a few more out, at the beginning of the year after the shooting

Sea bass tonight with garlic and thyme hasselbacks, tender stem and a homemade lemon aioli, off out now to see if I can get the fox that’s bothering my mates moo’s

Yeah, I cut it off the appliances I took out as well, that’s it now, I’ll be picking up every bit of cable I see now

Yeah, I just cut off what I could see yesterday because I haven’t knocked the house down yet, the cable weighed 17kg and I got £33.15 for it, normally I’d of just left that

Well that was worth the trip to Middlesbroughstan with my scrap

Bought some cheap steaks, done them with garlic and thyme wedges, a pepper and red onion salad with a lemon and mustard dressing, and mushrooms cooked in garlic butter

Works a treat mate, I just splash it on and walk around smelling like a bottle of Pernod, can’t keep a certain generation of lady’s away from me

So I thought I’d go and put what scrap I’ve got in this afternoon because my scrap lad mate said it’s starting to drop in price a little, so I went to my local place, normally I just chuck it on the scale but for some reason I went and checked the price, £2.70kg on the copper sod that, so I rang EMR in Middlesbrough, £5.80kg and the bloke said bring it over in the morning because the price is starting to drop, I wouldn’t like to guess how much copper is there but there’s about 40kg of lead and a bag of unstripped cable to go with it, I guess we’ll find out tomorrow

I go wherever the money takes me mate, I’ve spent the last 30 years getting to know as many people as possible and what I’ve learnt is you don’t need to be really good at anything, just do what you say you are going to do and most importantly, turn up when you say you will be there

Resin down at the church where we put a concrete path in a few weeks ago and then dropped back on the demolition job to fill the afternoon in

I’ve just been speaking to a mate and he said, get them crushed and use them over winter to get birds where I want them, he said they will pick beans and maize over anything, and if next door are only feeding wheat, you’ll get their birds as well

Second pad in by lunchtime and then off to the farm to back wheat up for the flying chickens, my mate said take half a dozen bags of beans if you want to, so we’ll see how they like them

Chicken and leak tagliatelle, doesn’t look much but it was lovely, everything is always better with cream and half a bottle of wine

First pad in and shuttering in for the second, probably could of had it all done today but there’s no point rushing a good job

Couple of concrete pads for containers to stand on, got to stretch this out for two days because it was priced for two days

Few cracked bricks to replace today and I had a go at a bit of dot and dab for the first time

I’d go tikka T3x lite, as for a scope, probably a HIK alpex 4K
