  1. I did them in the griddle pan with the garlic and thyme to start with then finished them off under the grill to crisp the fat up
  2. No, apparently he likes to do that, just doesn’t like pulling the nails out so thought he’d get me to do it
  3. That’s what I don’t get, I would of just chopped them up and put them in the fire
  4. Pork chops, cooked with thyme, garlic and black pepper, cream mash and cavolo nero, can’t remember the last time I had pork chops, they were lovely
  5. Leg of mince last night, pork chops on the go for tonight
  6. Was asked to strip a large decking area to be redone in composite, no problem I thought, couple of hours, then he said he wants it all denailing for his log burner, I said do you know how long that will take, I’m not bothered he said, so 8 hours later I’m done
  7. We’d use it all the time if it were cheaper, if you get the really fine stuff it doesn’t go far, you can easily get through half a dozen bags just on a small like that one and at about 70 quid a bag it can soon bump up the price
  8. not on small gardens, just use sharp sand then a lot of kiln dried sand on top of it ( once it’s dry ) used it on a big bit we did for a school to top off the base, really good, easy to get a level, goes rock hard and still lets water through, only downside is the cost
  9. Finished the back garden job today, fake grass down, made the gate and easy jointed the patio. Nightmare putting the grass down in the rain, definitely can’t sand it until it’s dry
  10. Roast beef, homemade yorkie puds and gravy today, really didn’t feel up to doing it today because the man flu has got a grip of me, but I did enjoy shovelling it down

Quick update on my shoot, we were meant to have our first day on the 28th of October but due to weather we decided to cancel the day, so this coming Saturday will be our first day, better for me as I didn’t think the birds were quite ready where as now they are, I was up there for first light this morning and they are spread out right throughout the shoot, so fingers crossed for a good first day on Saturday
  14. Fence finished, type one in, starting to lay patio, once that done the fake grass will be weather dependent

Today’s day out started with FOXHUNTER turning up at my house just before 12:30 this afternoon, the plan was to go to my mates dads farm to stalk roe, being a little early in the day I decided to go to my mates first for a look for a doe, we didn’t see anything and couldn’t really get to where we needed to be due to the wind direction, so it was back to the van and off to his dads.
