  1. this is the problem, these kids can’t afford to insure these dogs but still want them, most insurance companies won’t insure a dachshund against IVDD because it affects 1 in 4 and they know the cost of the operation
  2. I can’t even start on the parents, they are the worse kind of people, pure white trash
  3. Yeah, I know all about the pdsa, they are good people, they would of pts, they wouldn’t of been able to do what has been done to this dog
  4. They wanted around 400 quid to pts, even that wouldn’t be getting paid in the world I’m from, I’ve seen Mrs Stav spend hundreds of pounds trying to keep pet rabbits alive, the old cat that she had ( about 19 years old ) had a grands worth of tests to tell her it was old and the best thing was to pts and then charged about 200 quid for that, now she can afford to do these things and if it makes her feel better then who am I to stop her but the way vets pray on vulnerable people is shocking, to put it into a bit of perspective the operation that dog has just had cost the same if I needed the sam
  5. My opinion is they should never of been offered the operation, I know she loves the dog but 10k is a piss take, these people are not in it for the love of animals they are in it to take advantage of people like my niece
  6. So this isn’t about my opinion or what I would of done but I thought I’d share this story from the weekend my niece has a 4 year old dachshund ( I know, pointless little dog ) anyway on Friday it’s back end give way, she took it to the vets and it was given pain killers but by morning it was worse, so back to the vet and they think it’s IVDD a common condition in poorly bred long back dogs, nothing the vet can do it would need to go to a surgical clinic up the road from us, turns out they wanted a deposit to see the dog, £4750 to take the dog in, obviously the niece didn’t have that kind
  7. I didn’t see that, I would of guessed that involved thermal, I’ve seen a lot of people shooting at things they’ve seen through thermal and not being 100% what it is I seen one a couple of years ago ( in America I think it was) where someone had put a loaded rifle in the back of a vehicle and his dog stepped on it and it went off and killed him
  8. Toad in da hole tonight, lovely
  9. I have three rules if you are out with me, first, when you are loading the rifle it must be pointing towards the floor, you never put a loaded rifle in the vehicle and once you have unloaded the rifle you show me with the bolt open, I’ve seen someone shoot through the roof of a Land Rover when they had a loaded rifle in the footwell
  10. Still plodding along with my horsey nonsense
  11. To be fair, these probably came from the river Tees where they were surfing on turds
  12. I would of said muddy prawns with a hint of grass that’s what they tasted like the one and only time I had them
  13. We’ll have to agree to disagree on this one, if your sling is adjusted properly the rifle should only point upwards, a long time ago someone I knew was carrying a rifle upside down and he hadn’t put the safety on and the trigger got caught on a button on his jacket and the rifle went off, he was millimetres away from blowing his foot off with a .308 bullet
  14. Muzzle pointing down, not ideal when walking, it can easily be knocked
  15. I’ve got one of his fox targets and they are quality, I’ve chucked everything at from .22 to.308 and there’s hardly a mark on it
  16. It was bloody freezing yesterday, fingers crossed it starts to warm up for the start of the bucks this week He certainly looked the part, I just wished he’d carry my rifle properly
  17. Lovely office yesterday afternoon, got to take a lad out deer stalking, I really enjoy doing this especially when we get a result
  18. He’s a lovely bloke, very knowledgeable and really knows his stuff with the flying chickens
  19. I should of put a picture of Mrs Stav’s up as she had bean and hash browns, I love poached egg on toasted brown bread, I’d probably swap out the fried egg for scrambled on a breakfast
  20. New skill today, dry stone wall, only problem is mine looks better than the rest
  21. A kind of chicken and mushroom in a creamy sauce thing tonight, it was very nice
  22. Just don’t pay it, I’ve never paid a car parking fine in my life and never had any come back from them
  23. Yeah, tomatoes every time for me, I’m always disappointed when I go somewhere for breakfast and they give me beans ( and hash browns, but that’s another story)
  24. Land drains going in today and I’ve left my wellies in my van that’s in my mates garage
