It’s probably because I’ve been with them for years, I think most of them just think of a number and double it, I was thinking of getting another bike, checked the insurance and they wanted around 500 quid, I’ve had a bike license for over 20 years, my last bike was £120 fully comp

We have a multi car policy with admiral and it costs us £740, that’s my van on business insurance at £330 and her new S3 £410, both of us fully comp on both motors, I’ve been with admiral for years, never found anyone cheaper, I think it went up by about £15 this year

This picture looks mad to me, it makes it look like everything is on a slope, but everything is level, there’s only 15mm fall on the patio
-
Patio and beds finished today, customer was happy with it and has asked if we would repair the patio around the house, it has dropped in places so I think my idea of repair would be to rip it up and start again
-
A bottle of hawkstone while I decant my first batch of bramble gin

Garlic chicken breast with hasselbacks, tender stem and a leek and white wine sauce

Home job now, bloody shower is leaking, some bodging gone on here, I’ve never seen so much silicone, I’m going to have to pull the floor up
-
Beds in, the customer wanted oak, I was surprised how much they were, under 30 quid each, I’d of thought oak would of been a good 10 quid more than that
-
They are all just off cuts from other jobs, they don’t need to be straight because the sleeper bed will sit on top of them giving you an uncut line along the front of the sleeper
-
Quick spaghetti bolognaise tonight, because I got home at about 7 after being out the house since 6 to the missus pointing at a water mark, turns out my shower tray is leaking and has been for a while looking at it, I said I’d fix it at the weekend, that’s not good enough, so now I have to sort out a full new bathroom
-
Got the paving down today, last one in just before it started pissing down, then off to feed the flying chickens, now I need to decide what I’m doing her for her tea

Used to love a Q plate, I had a diesel Orion on a Q, that was 3 different cars and 1 number plate my mate had a mk4 escort ringed to a Q plate, I can’t remember how it happened but the police got the straight car and crushed it so my mate applied for the v5 in his name and got himself a straight car

Luckily it’s a bit of patio and some raised beds, good job it’s not on the farm because they don’t pay in cash, they still think people work for eggs and spuds
-
Went and took the concrete shuttering out at the church and tidied up a bit, mate has phoned and said if I want work for the rest of the week meet him at the farm, so that’s where I am now, not knowing what I’ve volunteered for

They want to be using them on land rovers, they seem to be the motor of choice around here at the minute, I know half a dozen people that have had disco’s and evogue’s taken over the last couple of months

When immobilisers started coming out in the mid 90’s I worked at a place that used to fit vectra and cobra thatchem immobilisers and once they were fitted you weren’t taking that car, then manufacturers thought they could do it better but the problem is if you immobilise everything the same way people will soon work out a way around it, them ghost immobilisers are becoming popular now, I just think with the S3 being on PCP, if it get nicked they’ll give me another
-
My missus keeps the keys for the S3 in one of them faraday pouches, paranoid that when we are in bed someone is outside waving a signal grabber around
-
A different one but around the same time was when Ford brought the tibbe lock out, a lad I knew had a key cutter for them and you just pulled a boot lock out of a turbo or xr3 and he’d make you a key for it, save you wrenching them up, I remember when they started putting the chips in the tibbe keys and it took someone all of about an hour to work out how to bypass them coil immobilisers an the ignition barrel
-
I’m not sure about that, the old ones from the 80’s ( just the four track ) you could start with your fingers, I definitely had a L reg one without the keys, there was a lad I knew that was getting them to sell on and they were all new-ish in the mid nineties
