  1. Last of the yard concrete in today, hopefully get paid here before Christmas because I’m almost 4.5k in
  2. When I was a lad and my dad asked what I wanted for tea, it would always be rabbit stew, I’ve not had it for years
  3. Saag chicken, lovely after a day out in the rain chasing pheasants around
  4. We’re on a roll lately, we’ll have to try the fallow up at the shoot
  5. Tonight’s outing started with FOXHUNTER arriving at mine for 6pm and we were off to my mates farm, against my better judgment I took the .223 with the alpex NV on the top, I was planning to take the .243 with the lamp as it worked a treat last time we were out, and having a few runners lately with the .223 I’ve lost a bit of confidence in it, anyway we got set up overlooking two fields, it wasn’t long before FH spotted one a long way off on another farm, expecting it to come straight up the field we waited, all of a sudden it was too our right approaching the caller, I turned towards it but it
  6. Roast beef, I must be good for an hour in my chair now
  7. Nowt else to do today due to the snow and the missus taking over the front room doing peoples tax returns ( even though she’s got an office upstairs) so I’ve shut myself in the kitchen, chocolate, ginger and cinnamon cake and a corn beef and potato pie, roast beef dinner is now on the go
  8. Give up trying to do anything with the concrete, just went and covered it then it was off to feed the birds, fair bit of snow and absolutely freezing, hopefully this will bring the flying chickens back into the drives and on the feed
  9. Concrete again this week, it’s borderline to cold, poured today and I think it will have to be covered tomorrow
  10. Concrete in today, 9.5 cube, about another 30ish cube to go in next week, hopefully it will be a bit warmer next week I’ve been freezing all day
  11. I don’t know what the problem is, it’s no worse than 90% of the towns in this toilet of a country, I’ve lived here all my life and I would call it a cultural melting pot ( or a sh*thole ) life would be dull if you couldn’t walk down Stockton high street and watch a spice head trying to fight a pigeon ( lol )
  12. It could of been, I know it was around the headlands, it will of been well over 15 years ago when he worked there, I’m sure when he left he went to work for Able on the river, dismantling war ships, then oil rig platforms, earning mega money
  13. Wow, do you want an adopted grandson, I’m very well behaved and house trained i bet he’ll be over the moon with that, definitely no snoozing on the sofa for you after Christmas dinner
  14. There’s a place near me that dry dock them to scrap them, a lad I know used to work for them, there must of been good money in them because they would go to auctions around the country to buy them just to scrap, they must of had all the hazardous handling tickets ( my mate was an asbestos stripper to start with) or maybe not, because they were in Hartlepool and that place is one big landfill
  15. Surely the scrap value is far more than the cost of removing it from the harbour?
  16. Aco’s in today, it even stopped raining for about an hour, had one of the stable girls running stone in so we’ll be ready for concrete on Friday
  17. Back preparing for concrete and some stables, I wish it would stop raining
  18. Love is definitely in the air, I had these 2 on Thursday, vixen first then the dog came storming in to the vixen in heat call, was hoping to get out again tonight but would you believe it, it’s raining
  19. Lovely on a dank night, not too hot but a nice bit of spice
  20. Saag chicken on the go for later, not sure what I’m doing her yet, because she won’t eat any of that foreign muck
  21. I did them in the griddle pan with the garlic and thyme to start with then finished them off under the grill to crisp the fat up
