  1. Have the commercial shoot been told that they must shut down or are they doing it if their own backs
  2. Yeah I think you are right, I’ve been reading about it today, the worrying thing about it is if Defra keep buckling with these small changes the likes of wild Justice will move onto bigger things
  3. We’ll just have to wait and see how BASC and the countryside alliance interpret the restrictions
  4. That’s how I see it, but we’ll have to see if BASC roll over
  5. Yeah, so does that mean I can visit with one someone else from the shoot can visit with one and so on, until we are all in the countryside shooting at the same birds socially distanced ?
  6. At the minute it’s protected sites but in the long run I can see it heading to there been a licensing system for anyone who wants to release none native species into the countryside, whether that be protected sites or private land
  7. I’ve read a bit more into it and at the minute it’s for shoots around protected sites, this is starting to look like a sneaky way of groups like the RSPB securing more land to turn into more so called protected sites for their rewinding and habitat “management” or as its otherwise known the destruction of the countryside
  8. On another note, wild Justice have called pheasant and red leg partridge a pest species, so maybe instead of been a game shoot I could say it’s pest control ?
  9. Not sure yet, Boris said recreation can still take place outside but you can’t mix with other households, when we were in the tier system shooting was exempt from the rule of 6 and if it’s organised where you don’t have to be in contact with others then I can’t see a problem with it, but we’ll just have to see what the shooting organisations have to say over the next couple of days
  10. Oh, I think it’s because it’s on my news app on my phone, no idea how to make it so you can read it ( it’s in the independent) basically, it’s the government bending over ( AGAIN) and been shafted by wild Justice, it looks like as from next year you will have to have a license to release pheasant and partridge, because wild Justice have said they are an invasive species and have a detrimental effect on indigenous animals, nothing about how much good we do by controlling pests/predators and feeding everything else not just the birds we put down ? rant over ( for now )
  11. https://apple.news/A_VRngQsrQJmb9lHP07bamA This stuff boils my piss, more hoops to jump through
  12. It’s looking like we will be in a 4 week lockdown by Wednesday, but they are saying schools and universities will stay open, they are the buggers that are spreading it, the country is fu*ked, I’ll be having my own private walked up days
  13. I did the same as you, went back to the new farm, might as well of gone this afternoon it might of been darker, the fox spotted me a mile off and made a run for it, never to be seen again, I had a walk round with the.22 and managed 5 rabbits and then gave up, it’s looking like a washout tomorrow, so that will be another day wasted
  14. There’s just a small facilitator fee of 50p a rat, payable to me to fund my financially embarrassed life, I’m sure this will not be a problem for a high roller like yourself ?
  15. I’ll get you the rat shooting if you want it, it’s 5 minutes from your house ?
  16. Well I had a walk around, bumped the fox as soon as I got there and the moon gave me away and it slipped through a hedge, now I know the lay of the land I know where to shoot from, the amount of rabbits around the farm and the garden centre is mental, I couldn’t tell you the last time I seen numbers around here like that, nobody has shot ether place for over 6 years, so it’s now mine, all mine ?
  17. It will be the usual case of farmers millions ?
  18. I know, that’s the problem I have now, everyone wants a bit of stav ?, once I’ve been and had a look, I’ll maybe pass it on to someone ?
  19. Following on from yesterday’s phone call asking about a fox problem and some rat shooting, I’ve just had another call asking if I could clear the rabbits up around a garden centre, well what could I say other than of course, sometimes I fell sorry for people who put in all the leg work for permission and get knocked back all the time, it’s nice when people start coming to you?
  20. Are you shooting this Saturday, it’s looking a bit wet
  21. I like the sako 70gn ballistic for the .243 they hit very hard and make a proper mess
  22. I knew it, mention some free shooting and he’s there, like a rat up a drain pipe so to speak ?
  23. I’ll get longshanx to shoot the rats and I’ll sit back and take all the glory for it ?
