Yeah, I’m starting to get a few week days free now the shooting has started, so we’ll sort something out ?
-
Welcome you are best off on the firearms section, plenty of opinionated people on there, first off get to know your local RFD and then work out your budget ? best of luck
-
Cheers mate, I’ll be off up there early afternoon to set things up and work out where we are shooting, I’ll be feeding the tracks off the driveway so the guns see a few on the way in i hope you manage to shoot the barrel out of your rifle ? we’ll have to have a trip out over the next couple of weeks

I’ve never tried them on barley because the don’t do much of it on the farm, there is a shoot not far from me that uses a mix of wheat and barley, but barely is around 200 a tonne at the minute the grower pellet we start them off on is £350 a tonne, but we do half medicated, you have to be careful what the pellet has in it if you are going to eat the birds that are shot
-
It was only a few years ago that it was £100 and when it went to £120 everyone said it won’t go any higher, we had to ask the members to each give another £20 to cover the costs, after that we put the fees up from £350 a year to £400 and we sold a few days to top it up, this year the fees have gone up to £500 per gun, I still don’t think that’s bad value for 8 days shooting but the syndicate was always meant to be affordable game shooting for the common man, but it is getting more and more expensive and with syndicates like ours there’s no wages all the money goes back into the shoot ( with a

It would be worth paying the extra 20 odd quid not to have to bag it up myself that’s what they were saying at the farm, they are hanging on to it, he said milling wheat is over £270 now and he said you should be glad you don’t feed them rapeseed because that’s never been anywhere near the prices it’s at now
-
Just got back from bagging another tonne of wheat up, £227 a tonne ? and it doesn’t look like it’s going to come down any time soon
-
I’ve not heard them shouting yet around where I live, but I am starting to see a good few wandering about on a morning, so they are out looking for love ( or a free feed )
-
2 doe’s nutting my feeder over the piggeries, the buggers ?
-
This is what I want ? I went to feed this morning because I couldn’t get there yesterday and at 2 degrees and a hard ground frost I couldn’t of been happier, I got there just after first light so I could see what headed where after coming off roost, I’m glad I did because I’ve got a big group coming through the farm, behind the caravan at the back and then down towards what I know as the tip, I was sure these would of gone to the oak wood drive, but no, they seem to like going the long way round to the tip, unless you see them you will never guess where these idiots decide to go

If I could only have 1, it would be the .17, the .22 just gets chucked on the front of the quad now for shooting squizzers, the .17 shoots a lot further and makes the deader ??
-
Without doing anything to them, the cz is better than the browning, that’s not to say the browning is bad and as you know they have a lot of nice little touches on the T bolt
-
Yeah, I’ve got a browning T bolt and a cz, you can never have to much of a good thing, to be honest the cz gets far more use than the browning, I’m going to make a point of giving it a run out this week

Welcome to a very exclusive club ( the I have 2 .17HMR’s club) it’s always good to welcome a new member, now there’s 2 of us ?
-
If they find you bobbing about in the channel you might end up with a free house and on the rich list with the amount of benefits they chuck at you ?
-
I don’t know why the keeper never fits the narrative, I know they are a rum bunch, bad tempered, often use very colourful language and call a spade a spade but one thing is certain, they are the definition of a character ?
-
Best of luck to you, I bet you will be missed on the estate ?
-
Without doubt if you want something doing, just do it yourself, one of the other members who likes to be involved ( when it suits him ) said he would feed this weekend, I said I want it doing today because next door are shooting and I want them to know there’s someone about, 2 o’clock this afternoon he rings me, I said “ how’d you get on “ to which he replied “ I haven’t been, I had to take the young lad out, I’ll go for 7 in the morning “ ?no you won’t it will be just light and I don’t want you pushing them around when they have just come off roost, I’ll go now, so me and the missus set

I had another go at the sheep farm tonight, weather looked perfect, no moon and a good breeze, on arrival I looked around with the thermal and noticed there was very little about. I thought this was a bit strange looking at the weather but it seems sometimes although it looks near perfect it just doesn’t play out the way you expect it to, after an hour and a half and no sign of a fox ( or deer, badger or hare, come to think of it) I headed back to the farm, shooting half a dozen rabbits with the .223 on the way, until I thought these are costing me about £1.40 each, so stopped, it does absolut

Thank you very much, when people describe me as proper it’s normally followed by a 4 letter swear word ( the one that the missus won’t let me say )??
-
Sproxton shoot syndicate bramble gin bottled and ready for when it’s my turn to provide elevenses ?
-
I’m no nothing about bullets, but I’d guess at something really light, 35gr ? Just because of how well it will frag instead of going through

The pair that I had were really good, even though they were old and I’d bought them second hand, at the time nothing matched them for clarity or quality, but now everyone has upped there game and Swarovski have just upped their prices, that’s not to say I wouldn’t love a pair of the EL range
