  7. I get to work in some stunning places, I’m at a massive shooting estate today it’s the worst kept secret in North Yorkshire who owns it, but I suppose if it was common knowledge some nutters would be reeking havoc in his supermarkets
  8. Little dig today for a air source pipe work, this is the place I’ve done loads of work, it’s a barn conversion in national park land, when he started we said to him you need to be careful with national parks, he said it will be fine and did what he wanted, he’s now had a visit from them, ( lol ) they are not happy, he told me the list earlier and it’s massive, said he’s putting retrospective planning in ( lol ) I told him it doesn’t work like that with them, he looked sad ( lol )
  9. Not ready yet but first batch of bramble gin on the go, ready for shoot days all jobs done now so I thought I’d treat myself to an ice cold Pinot, I do like a wine now and then
  10. Had a walk around the sheep farm last night mainly to shoot a few rabbits, got a few rabbits and started to head back towards the farm along the bottom of the fields, when I looked through the thermal I spotted a fox about 500 yards from me, I didn’t have a caller with me so it was old school lip squeaking, the fox was still moving away from me so though it was sh*t or bust and gave it the loudest lip squeak I could, it turned and started to run towards me, I stopped it at around 70 yards, lamp on and a .17HMR through the bib dropped it on the spot without even a twitch, one of this years, a d
  11. Lovely stuff, but a good knife is easier than a drywall hammer when dealing with a rabbit ( lol )
  12. Plenty of time for sleep when I’m dead ( lol ) I do like to do a good dinner on a Sunday, I like cooking and can spend all day in the kitchen the missus has just informed me that her mate is coming for tea on Wednesday and they want 3 course’s, ( cheeky tw*ts ) after a haggle we’ve settled on 2

  15. Well, me birds are coming along, they are eating a crazy amount of feed, ( between 100 and 120kg every 48 hours) still not wandering too far, they are starting to feather up well, as they haven’t all buggered off I take it they know where they live now so if they want to go a bit further during the day I’m not too concerned
  16. On the good stuff tonight
  17. Couldn’t be all stone, it was a farm building so it had to keep the look, planning officers are dicks
  18. Just labouring for my mate today, bit of mixing, bit of drainage, put a oil pipe in for the boiler, small foundation for some steps, all while he was laying Indian sandstone I like working with him, I learn loads, he’s a proper builder, built this house on the farm, on his own, only thing he didn’t do was the electrics and the heating also found a well so made a feature of it

  20. Fancied a day off today, no such luck, gardening for my old mam and got home and she’d bought a cat flap to go in the back gate because she doesn’t want the simple bugger jumping the gate ( ffs, I thought that’s what cats did )
  21. Chicken parmo and wedges for her saag venison for me, spicy but not too hot
  22. One thing I love for lunch is, dippy egg with asparagus cooked in a griddle pan with garlic as the soldiers
