    Roast pork dinner, I’ll have to wait a bit for the crumble, I’m done in now

    Going for a cheap bit of pork today, just had to show it a bit of love to make it look like a decent bit of meat and I helped myself to some apples and plums from garden I was in last week so I’ve made an apple and plum crumble, I cheated, my auntie Bessie made the crumble

    Thyme baked cod loin with cream mash, asparagus a white wine butter sauce, I’ll start the diet tomorrow

    A kind of chicken jalfrezi took ages because I had to roast the tomatoes, but it was worth it, I got one of them shop bought naan’s, I don’t think I’ll bother next time

    Rest of the foul drainage in, gravelled up and stoned up around the outside, 40T of type one to go in next week, I was going to go and start my demolition job tomorrow but the more I think about it I think I’ll have a day off

    Mushroom ragu tonight. Looks like spaghetti bolognaise but it’s very different, lot of thyme, garlic and a bit of red wine vinegar

    More drainage in, 2 more to go in tomorrow then I think it’s just pipe bedding and to stone out for whoever is putting the floor in, I hope they are in the right place, I might have Friday off unless I get a better offer

    They are mental, before all this they were living in Stockton with the smack heads, she ended up in hospital claiming to be pregnant but wouldn’t let anyone near her, turned out to be a cushion, but she was previously pregnant, that’s why they both ended up on remand, on a child cruelty charge, she claimed she had sacrificed the baby in the river, they used to walk around the high street chanting doing the African two step

    I think that just like me they go to work to make as much money as they can to fund the lifestyle they want, my wife is an accountant for the NHS and the money they make from private work far exceeds what the NHS pays

    My wife has been in hospital for a couple of days with severe abdominal pain, now they think they know what it is but need to do an investigative procedure, so she’s put on the list, estimated time for this to be done is 15 months, now she can’t be in this amount of pain for over a year so we looked at private, we have now got a pre assessment next Wednesday with the same consultant that would be doing it on the NHS and the procedure to be done in around 3 weeks at a cost of around 6k, now we are lucky to be in a position to go private but how many other people are suffering for years before a

    Made a bit of progress today, everything takes 3 times longer than normal having to put string lines up on every run to make sure it’s in the right place because there’s no going back once the floor is poured

    Tonight’s tea was harissa chargrilled chicken with a spicy Mediterranean stew and rice, it was bloody lovely

    If it’s India stone and the customer wants it sealing I’ll do it straight away, if it’s another natural stone I would recommend letting a winter get at it first to draw the salt out, generally I try to put people off sealing any patio, there’s some really good cleaning products out now that will lift most stuff that spilt on them i did a really expensive one a few years ago and the customer wanted it sealed, to cut a long story short it turned into a nightmare, they were all salt marked and it was like an ice rink, I had to remove the sealer which was a terrible job
