.22 LR-Could someone give me a definitive answer?
Deker replied to SportingShooter's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
not quite so sure but it depends what you are after really!!! -
Should be charged every 3 months if you don't use it, more of course if you do! Yuasa!
-
Don't want to be picky but the sidewheel is Parallax, on the AGS and at air guns ranges this may "help" as a range finder but it isn't a range finder as it will provide different range results at different magnification levels!!
-
I think you are being generous......most think they are paper punchers or are dreaming of being paper punchers and feed from Baz's spoon! Shame really as we all need to stick together and there are "some" decent people there!!
-
Welcome to the club, just don't get that site, many members here have been banned there, is it still Baz's little empire, shame really but there is s great detachment from reality and far to much a**e licking.....oh yes...no surprise to most I'm sure...I'm banned to! Oh yes...backflips!!!! doesn't happen too often with the rimmy, centrefire or shotgun, but we've all had a few with the air rifle!!

Frankly... I wonder about the original question But that is about the best reply possible in the circumstances, hits hard, useable, versatile, readily available, lots of choice, does the job and cheap!!

Though I do not have a Weirauch gun or mod I know a couple of guys who do, got to agree, the word is check out their mods!!
-
I would also think it its the crack or thump hitting the target. Mine CZ with sak mod on Winnie subs is silent, until it hits it's target. Lead on skull is quite a reasuuring sound, means humane kill.... Matt your right mate the 40 gr is abit of a smack Well...I was wondering....22LR with subs and a SAK or ASE, it really isn't going to get much quieter, (Mr Logic uses a DM80 Hornet moderator on his rimmy sometimes, it's good but I don't think it will be any better than a ASE...which probably has the edge on the SAK) but surely cbw can tell the difference between report crac

Seems like it is almost impossible to get deer on the FAC without a Mentor or DSC these days. You have a chance for just CWD and Muntjac on smaller calibres, but even after experience with these, it seems many Police regions still want Mentor/DSC if you want to move up calibre and deer!

The Hare was legally shot under every current Act anyone wants to quote! The Hare was shot at approximately 10.00...night shooting had nothing to do with it, but it's legal anyway! The night shoot mentioned in the original post was on the buggies and had NOTHING to do with the Hare!!! There is nothing wrong or illegal with this! I don't give a hoot how many people don't agree with it, ...they can write to their MP and get the law changed! i totally agree with you it's just frowned upon in some circles .

whats better than a bsa super10 mk3 bull barrel carbine
Deker replied to rabbit_killer's topic in Airgun Hunting
I think you are going to have a problem, the only benefit you may find in "some" guns is more shots and better feel. Power wise it's 12ft lb end of. Accuracy wise, a full length barrel may be a tiny bit better, but then again it's longer and more awkward in some situations! Ask yourself why you bought this gun, and what you want from the next that this does not offer!!! -

Maddog1974 i hope you are going 2 eat the babys in the hares belly or find the young ones in the long fields near bye so they dont starve .please tell me y you are shooting summer hares with young or up the duff hope your happy with your nights shooting . Kindly DO NOT Preach! There is nothing wrong or illegal with this! This is a hunting site, if you are in love with furry things go elseware or write to your MP and get the law changed!

Totally agree, but in an attempt not to be too controversial I shall avoid refererence to childrens pets here. Wild/Ferral cats are a serious pest in some areas and cause considerable damage. They can be legally shot, and are, on a regular basis, and I for one have no problem pulling the trigger. Also understand several peoples comments about posting the picture, but we live in the real world and this is a hunting site, people can make any suggestion about any picture these days as there are so many editing programmes available! Having said all that, probably best we all shut up a

71 Takes some doing!!

That's the one...been playing a bit today but not had the chance to mount it yet, new mounts for MR Tikka on order! Optics do seem really quite good, very useable up to 20x mag and most definately useable at 24 times. Very clear at the bottom and middle magnification range. 5 settings for each brightness on the Red or Green IR. No idea yet how it will dial in to zero and how it will hold it. Build quality and lettering/figures printing all done to a budget! But I was happy enough after my first JSR to buy another!!!
-
Well ...as some of you may recall I went in for a new scope a few weeks back and was asking about JSR own brand! Bought the 4-16x44 Mill dot, this is an innexpensive scope which delivers way beyond it's price, but it is still a budget scope. Several other shooting buddies have looked through it and are impressed. It's on my Tika T3 Lite in .223 and I had an incredible run of V-bulls and Bulls with it at 200 Yard Short Siberia on Sunday using cheap Barnaul 62g and Prvi 55g ammo! So ....now, just bought the JSR 6-24x50 illuminated, arrived yesterday and would have no hesitation in sug

Dear Wats I do not believe the air rifle is the tool of choice to shoot Hare with, a point I have made historically, and a view shared by the BASC and the CA and just about every other shooting involved organisation you can think of. However, I also made the point if you look back, that..."we all know it is capable of doing the job"....we also all know a 12ft lb air rifle is capable of killing a PERSON, and has done, but it certainly is not the first choice for anyone wanting to achieve this! In this particular case the Hare ran straight at Charlie who was in cover, he had a clear

quote from your self {Cracking thread Bowers, nice to get so many posts. Shame about the summer hares which spoil it a bit } davy Gos I am a little confused..are you trying to make a point, if so can you please explain your comments about Summer Hare!

best budget rifles for fox and rabbit.
Deker replied to greylag's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Seldom have I seen such a consensus of opinion! Totally agree, the choice comes down to .22LR, HMR, and .223, 22-250. My choice if pushed for just 2......... .22LR .223Rem -
Dont want to sound silly... But what does 1-8 twist mean? Cheers If I get this wrong someone will correct it but I'm gonna have a stab at it anyway (ever find it hard to explain something you know you know?). A 1 in 8 twist basically means that when the bullet is fired and still in the barrel that it will turn/revolve/roll around once on it's axis in every eight inches of that barrel. Say you have a 24" barrel that has a 1 in 8 twist, the bullet will have turned three times before it leaves the barrel. Different twist rates suit different length bullets (often people say different w

As SEAN3513 correctly says this is a bit of ancient history...there was a great outcry at the time and several shooting bodies became involved too....net result is, it has now died!!! Nothing to stop some **** trying something stupid again though!
