No ASSUMING required ........... The Rule.... DO NOT Post any rifle tuning information. None. This is our most frequently debated rule. I don't doubt for a minute that your intentions aren't the best. I don't doubt for a moment that your gunsmith skills are anything less than A1. The issue is that this advice can, and may, be taken and used to turn legal air rifles into unregistered firearms. This forum is regularly visited by our opponents and this information could be re-presented in a courtroom or a newspaper. Airgunning is under constant scrutiny and any content that can be used ag

Time has passed...... ............to cut a long story short, I have been contacted by several different owners who have suffered catastrohic and potentially lethal problems with this model, the 2 REPLACEMENTS I have recieved have been unsatisfactory (I'm being polite) and the shotgun is now returned and a FULL refund recieved! I can only speak as I find about this shotgun and have done my best to give it every opportunity to prove itself!! It has failed miserably and I can but suggest it is sub standard and should not be on sale ANYWHERE, how it got through Birmingham proof house i

It's been around for a long while but is largely ignored, or not even known of these days, everyone talks of .22LR an .17HMR...think again all, the .22WMR is very popular in the USA. .22WMR is not quite as flat as HMR, but more powerful than HMR, NO noisier, hits a lot harder, ammo is cheaper, and believe it or not more choice of ammo available than .17HMR...you can also pick up a used one for a song as the world seems to think the HMR is better....WRONG!!!!...they are different but given a choice of HMR and WMR it's WMR every time for me....don't believe me ...try one...bet you will love

Each to their own "and why not", but this is a personal project and if you can find anywhere and anyone to do the work then you are presumably reloading as well, ATB, I'd be very interested to hear how you get on!! Strange though...in simple terms the Hornet sits somewhere between the .22WMR (300-350ft lb) and the .22 centrefire range (900+ft lb) Do you actually have a real need for this calibre and power or is this something you just want to do.....? I'm curious because whichever way you want to look at it the Hornet is on the demise, even though it certainly does seem to have a u

What have you got now??? Mine has a Falcon Moderator which is adequate, not got or used a Weirauch, but I have heard from a number of sources they are the business!!

I was hoping you'd say that. Well, an online review showed just that. The bb did separate on impact. But even with that, a regular pellet penetrated much farther, at the same time imparting more energy, being heavier than the Rockets. An interesting find was that the tiny bb's attached to the end of these pellets were of such good quality that they can make better products in itself! Wonder when Gamo would wake up to that. As far as I see, Gamo has always been interested in impressing the pants off of new shooters. The first time shooter usually looks for the highest velocity figur

Sorry guys...I can't resist it..................

OK...I've tried, SAK, Sako, Sirocco and some other air rifle mod which I blew up (Hog I think)...currently I have on Loan a DM80 .22 Hornet Mod which fits my HMR, I would say it is the quietest...JUST, but it would not make me invest in a new one....£30 Sak again next time!!! But not found ANYTHING I'm happpy with on the HMR!!

I would go along with that and Stress ..DON'T buy a 20 and then use heavy loads..you willl know about it.....BUT also remember their is a MUCH wider choice of 12g shotguns and plenty of "light weight" field guns to select from....and whilst it may also seem tragic in some cases, there are not many you can't fit a sling to if you really want!!!

All sorts of laws...including the Road Taffic Act...too complicated to fully explain but your back garden is not an approved shooting range, and seems you don't have small ground game and vermin listed, and your garden has not been cleared for .22LR, and, and, etc, etc...best discuss with your local Firearms department...ATB

They would be alright for YOUR Sunday lunch. They are meant to be more tender and tasty! Mixxy was introduced nearly 60 years ago and in that time not a single case of mixxy, or mixxy related illnesses, has been noted in ANY other animal or human being!! But I have no desire to test the theory...although with all the rabbits I have eaten over the years I suspect I already have!!

Had 2 Mixxy on Tuesday...first for several months...not nice and here forever by the looks of things!!

New internal tube, new sleeve and new bush, think it was about £70 worth of parts..use all the rest from the existing mod...talk to the RFD you got the mod from and he can order everything from Andrew. One of the joys of modular construction!!!
-
That says .22LR with sub sonic ammo!!! Enough range, and VERY quiet!!! HMR is noisy, even with a moderator!!

.22Rimfire?????? Brand new now about £, cheaper a few years back, if they still work and are not completely fubared perhaps £20-£30, just a guess but I would consider that top price!!
-
Who knows, but I've not come accross it before, can't help thinking at £40 a fox I'd have heard something...hell.... that's more than I get for a Roe...looks like I'm going to have to pop round to a few of the local chinese and see if we can work out a deal!!

Go back and ask the source of this daft rumour what makes them suggest it!!!

P8....Also consider the Compact Version, I had the Full P8 on my .223 and converted it to the Compact, No discernible difference in sound. I have since bought a Compact P8 for my .243 and very happy....NO price advantage but a noticeable size/weight difference which is a big help on gun balance!!

No permission as yet, i will try these norica pellets, thought about .22 but might as well buy a catapult or throw stones instead. girlie calibre did you say MOLLY MOLLY  thanks come back when youve got some permission and tell me how 2 shoot......177 over penetrates, lead at the relatively slow speeds of an air rifle will NOT buckle or break up, most of the time (if you ever get a permission you might find out) if you dig a pellet out of a rabbit etc you could stick it back in the gun and do another with it, maybe a bit of "smearing" where its hit bone and that but p
