  1. Guntrader.co.uk Guns for Sale section.
  2. i have been on the net all night tryin to educate myself and all i have been readin about the 243 is its lack of knock down power and listening to lads sayin that they have had a great percentage of runners but then you read that the 243 is deadly accurate im lost A .243 will knock down a Red Stag at 400yards with ease if you put it in the right place...just like any other reasonable round...put a 7mm Rem Mag up a Reds arse and it will walk away!! (perhaps limp away) Larger/more powerful rounds give more tolerance...BUT that was NOT your original question!!!
  3. Great ..but best I can find for Sportsmatch is £22.95..can you point me in the direction of the £15 ones please?? Cheers
  4. I see were you are coming from but I'd stick to the one!!..and did you ask this mate how much choice of ammo he could find???
  5. Frying pans and fires come to mind if you go 270, 30.06....MUCH wider choice in .243 if that is what you are after..but that is always the way with more popular calibres!!
  6. CZ 452 American..need some 30mm mounts for 50mm objective scope..only got one previous 30mm scope and the mounts are 10 years old....your best suggestions for quality and price appreciated!! Cheers!!
  7. White Spirit..but always try a small area FIRST!
  8. Sticking to your list I would buy the 410. The HW100 is possibly a better gun, actually, there are those that say it is the best you can buy at the moment, but the 410 is just behind and I prefer the balance and feel of the 410. Just can't seem to get on with the HW100..just another opinion!! You won't go wrong with either!!
  9. Which FEO is coming to see you? SS You Tart...STOP adding all these pictures of cracking land or foreshaws ..all my bits have motorways on the boundry or 747's flying over at low level!!
  10. The Mk11 will go to 50ft lb with a little effort but 60 is very high..and frankly I struggle to find any reason to run an air rifle anything like this high, .22LR is cheaper, easier, more convenient etc, etc!!
  11. It may or may not be the best springer but it IS a Springer!!! There is no way I would suggest you get a springer in FAC, PCP is the way to go!!
  12. ....and gun balance will change with every shot.....FAC shotguns are not really designed for quality shooting...perhaps hide pigeon shooting at 10 yards or blowing doors off hinges...oh yes...and whist purchase price will be the same or more than a non FAC shotgun, the resale price will be about half...if you can shift it at all!!
  13. He was there early and one of the first people I spoke to, we were talking for around 30 minutes and then on several occasions throughout the shoot and lunch!!! He was a Professional Personal Loader...and like I told him, I never new they even existed; he was more than happy to tell me about the Foreign Royalty, Ambassadors, Politicians, Film Stars and Pop Stars etc, etc he has worked for!! ...and a £10,000 per person per day shoot he had recently worked on!!! What a Job...almost as much fun as the member of the Formula 1 Pit crew who clean out debris from the air intakes on the car
  14. bit like patting your head and rubbing your chest at the same time...and I hear the local circus is looking for a new contortionist!!!
  15. .22WMR with 40g HP for the fox...(Don't PLease ...we have done this to death) Shotgun??? BB for Fox and heavy NON LEAD for the goose!! The law being the complete ASS it is, you cannot use a lead shotgun cartridge on a Goose...but it is perfectly legal to shoot it with a lead rifle cartridge...funny old world!!
  16. I am always surprised when people come on and say I have an X Y or X and ask what range should I zero at!! The answer is simple...the range you are likely to see the majority of your quarry at!!! As it happens "most" people will zero a .22LR with subs between around 50-60 yards..but so what...a .22LR sub is likely to deliver around 70-75ft lb at 100 yards....WAY more than you need to stop a rabbit...so zero at 100 yards if you like, but if they are all closer then zero at 20 yards!!! See where I'm coming from!!
  17. Glad you seem to have the problem solved John, bit strange this one though, did you ever discuss it with the RFD you bought the gun from or GMK??
  18. Yes, no hesitation at all Shot it in .22lr and .17HMR, both very accurate. Just noticed this, currently my rimfire collection consists of .22LR. HMR and WMR....almost by co-incidence they are all CZ's, 2 Silhouettes and 1 American. Having said that I also have experience of the Sako and think it is a cracking gun...the only if or but is, that I struggle to see why it costs around twice what the CZ does, it is definately NOT twice the gun "IF" any better at all??? I am happy with my tools and have no reason or desire to exchange any for a Sako, but this is not in any way a criticis
  19. It doesn't make any sense to me either...I have already made it clear this sort of shooting does not appeal to me, but I have gone to pains to point out I have no problem with anyone who does it and enjoys it, and I have not criticised anyone (well ...perhaps just that P***k who needed someone to load his gun)... I have several shotguns...only the 3 now, having just sold one ...all Berettas and I use them as required for all sorts including the NCSC!! ...and as it happens at the Marlborough shoot I could have out shot EVERYONE there with the shotgun (Except my pal Phil the owner...who
  20. F*** me!!! Who is your game dealer please????
  21. ME LASS DONE SHOPPING ONLINE AT ASDA THE PRICE ON THERE IS OVER £18 A KG. THINK THE EXACT PRICE WAS £18.81 BUT NOT SURE. Asda Venison is farmed and the supplier probably gets less than we do!!!
  22. Take the scope mounted lamp off the scope. Use it as hand held. When you're ready to shoot, attach lamp. There you go BOBW!!! ......and with a gunmounted light you can ALWAYS go out by yourself ..you do not have to rely on anyone else!!

But they cost less than
