Get behind me satan. every year we have a big get together for Christmas and I don't mind it. Personally I dont like christmas and would rather be doing something else somewhere where it is hot. ...... Not Australia! ! Our family Christmas get together has gotten so big that people can't put up with it. Not because of the cost or personality clashes but space. I've always said come when you want and go when you want. This year things have changed and moved on as everyone has their own family now and they want to do their own thing and their partners have their families that they want to go

I had a similar issue with my 223. Years ago Browning had a gadget that you dialled up. It was a threaded weight that you moved to find an accurate sweet spot for a given loading. With a bit of experimentation you could use different loads. I found that by putting a nylon cable tie around the barrel and the for end the group's tightened right up. SO I removed the barrel and put a strip of rubber inner tube into the channel at the front end and tied that lot together. This was even better. SO I removed the barrel and put a strip of gaffer tape down the barrel to the front end of the for end.

Always glad to welcome you home, always sad to see you go, they dont tell lies and they dont steal from you ! Although one of my spaniels did eat my dinner once when I was watching the six o'clock news . Someone (jova or double glazing fellow) came to the door and I thoughtlessly put my dinner down on the floor next to the sofa. Spaniel had come up on the lottery. My mistake. "Where's my dinner love" "I think it's in the dog "! Me again. Beans on toast !!

There's the reason. It's the cat's fault. The wife might have a bit of blame but the dog is blameless. Issue the cat a couple of Stuart Pierce free kicks. You know it makes sense. If you think back the dog told you that the load was suspect. ??????

lots of things can contribute to " Slugish". ... tyre pressures, dragging brakes, /rusted up brake cables. lots of short distance trips that clog the system. It might pay to have it running for a while to get it warmed up and then drive it along in a low gear at about 3--- 4 thousand rpm. for a mile or so. there's no need to thrash it doing 8o mph and get a ticket or put it in the hedge. it doesn't need to be up to valve bounce and blow the motor but it might give the exhaust a good blast through. I've done it in the dark and there have been embers of crap bouncing along the road in a sh

I can understand that. I don't have any tats but I don't have any opinion of them. I worked with a bloke who did national service in the army out in Germany. as was the norm they went into town and he chose a lion tattoo on his forearm. He had a foot and a bit of tail and couldn't put up with the pain so that's all he had. Two of my daughters each have a single tattoo. They were old enough to know their own mind and all I told them was to have something tasteful and somewhere that could be covered up when required. They teased me and said that they were going to have cheap visable tats done

The rag tag labour front bench looked well pißed off at the situation in the house today. I'm so glad that all of the misfits, turncoat and traitors who thought that the public would vote for them as independents were all discarded by the voters and they've all been F'd off up the road with a p45. I wonder if berco will be denied a lordship for his totally biased performance in the house. All of the stalling tactics employed by people like berco, Blair, major and the mps who kept dragging this anti democratic mess out for three years have cost this country many tens of millions of pounds sh

Five years in office is a long time, world events can change things and the memory of the public can be short but when I looked at what labour had on offer I can't see any of them being electable. Not only that but the way that labour have set up the way a leader is elected is a real weakness because it is one vote per member the new leader will always be a radical lefty like a clone of corbin. Maybe without the beard but the same chassis and mindset. In the past power corrupted some and the Tories got the label of snooty self serving types. Apparently one can join the Labour party for £3 so

Well the day came and went and the result was marked. So after all of the "I'll hold my hands up", "I own this"and "I'm very sorry" who's going to pick up the reins and try to form an effective opposition. It is well known that a weak opposition leads to weak government. So who's in the running ? Who really has a chance ? could it be the abbotopotumus.? You tell me.

It's the wrong sort of snow on the lines, so we went to margit instead. https://images.app.goo.gl/MNJpABsjTq9UGcPJ8

This all sounds like something Mick the landlord of the queen Vic, (Eastenders) has secretly dreamt up to surprise everyone for a super Christmas treat to show everyone how they do it. And they end up sitting on the hard shoulder of the motorway with a puncture and if and when they get there the accommodation has been overbooked. The reindeer are all grumpy and Santa is passed up with a false beard.

Research before you commit ! it might be a good idea to start to find out. And your Proposing going on a journey with kids that you know nothing about. Not so clever when you get there and it's totally substandard as described by newkid above. Always remember piss poor preparation = piss poor performance.

It's a wonder that you managed to see anything at all. Numerous times I've gone out the back door and it's been slightly misty. Ive driven out and when I get out on the land I drive round the yard black , quiet. Then I've walked onto the first field, turned the lamp on to be faced with a wall of white. I tried different colours of filter. Red, Orange, blue, green, blue, mauve, yellow and none of them made the slightest bit of difference. I tried my IR night vision and that was just as bad. So whenever I saw that it was misty outside I stood down and took the dog for a walk up the road. In

Hatistani shotgun stock length?

I did make a shaped and cross ribbed aluminium butt plate and safety slide for my Mossberg which had sort of plastic bakelite jobbies. They worked very well.ļ -

How thick is the rubber pad ? ...... suggestion..... unscrew the pad and put it on hard board. And draw round pad and cut out to get the thickens that you think is comfortable. It's cheap, throw away and two sided so you could use the smoothie side or the stippled side for grip. Any sort of material like this. It could be of ply, aluminium or a bakelite or nylon sheet. It's worth a try to experiment. It depends what job you do and if you have access to tools or machinery. next spring you could go back to standard pad. Or go on a crash diet and throttle back the pies ! -
I've always lent towards the Gough Thomas doctrine of the theoretical square load along with open choke and small shot. A wider shorter shooter shot column to get a better denser shot Patten with less shot distortion and less. I'm sure that you would love to have a wander with my AyA #2 rounded action with it's 3/4 loads of #6 or #'7. Father was a bit of an advocate of #7 shot back in the day when Eley grand prix 1-1/16 of #5 was the norm used on everything from a rat to an elephant.
-
Thats for the 3" yeah ? a 3/4 load is like a 16 load. Thats more than my 28, and that chops stuff down like lightning. Ps. If a sportsman true you'd be listen carefully to me ....
-
Well not necessarily so. We could be talking outriggers though. But a #6 out of a 410 has exactly the same mass and velocity as it does from any other bore size. Years ago when Eley used to be THE cartridge there was the diary in which they used to state that it took about 3-4 pellets of 0.8 flb to kill game. A 2--3/4 four long will have a charge of about 1/2 oz of #6 which with half choke will be capable out to 35 yards. So if you put the lead on the target it should do the job. A 3" would be even better. Fun for clays of a summer evening if a little expensive. Thats a fair ole moderator

( It's amazing how little field craft people have, if you've ( been out on the land,) a lot of your life, you can normally slip away fairly easily!! Lol ) Some years ago the dog and I were coming off of the fields back to car after an afternoon decoying. I was well worn and had made one trip already with kit and was on last trip when this bloke from a house along the track started shouting and waving his arms about. He was a two bit actor who was an anti and was always shouting about when he was lubricated. I had no wish to engage with him and kept on track back to my car along a ro

Donks ago when I were a lad; at school, I did a project about caponising chicken. We hatched out eggs and when they were grown a bit we injected a hormone pill under the skin at the back of the cocks necks. These cocks grew big but were not turning into cockerells. As time wore on and the project came towards the end, it became time for them to go on holiday. By this time the hormone pellet was beginning to wear off and these massive cocks were getting blooming aggressive. It was he'll of a job to wring their necks. They were flipping good eating though. Nowadays school children wouldn't

There are ways and means of electronically detecting and findIng stuff but alart from the devil of it there is no point. It's a lot more efficient to work and earn more. And if you have the time, the want and the energy, F, ing about poaching which is stealing another's labour then you can certainly go to work.

Yeah, yeah, yeah but what was it.....Cock phase? Is it first thing in the morning or last thing at night ?

How do you know who is ptotestant or catholic ? I've never understoòd this and here I couldn't give a flying as to whether someone is C of E, Baptist , Methodist, Catholic or a red Indian. I'm not even too bothered when the poor msguided jovas come round making a pest of themselves when I'm trying to eat my lunch. I don't go out and verbally abuse them. I either put my hand up and carry on eating, leaving them outside until they get bored or I go out and when they start asking if I'd like a better future ect for my family. At this point I do inform them that I am a registered blood donor

You forgot the IR radio beam detectors that can be across roads, tracks and paths. A neighbour used to get his Mrs to drop him off and he'd walk a wood, later she would drive to a layby, flash the lights and pull in. He'd be waiting and load and be away again in about twenty seconds. Another bloke that I knew used to operate on one side of a road and on the other side was a wood where an obnoxious Bstd who was a member of a syndicate put down an amount of birds. This guy used to slip across the road with a silenced 410 and a picker ups strap carrier. He'd take his time and knock down twenty
