  1. Are you going to breed old Purdey Steve, and if so what you going to put over her. regards collie john. John.... Wouldn't of minded taking a litter from Old Purd, but with her now being 9 1/2 I think she's a touch too old, even tho she is still fairly fit and healthy. Also with Jewell only being just over 2 I think it would be hard enough getting enough work for another lurcher pup, that's to test them properly anyway......
  2. SJ ..... your's is better than the one that won, A few steps's and abit of water Some people don't know what there on about....
  3. Mind you,...I've featured in a few DVDs myself that could do with some editing.... :icon_ Chalky .... your not wrong there Samba .... Would that of been out of the 1st litter ????, has Ellis used Drum twice on the "FLY" bitch. I did hear that the resulting dog pup's from both litter's threw fair size animal's, whereas the bitches levelled out to around 23/24". In saying that, even litter's further down the line that were bred more recently come out the same Whin .... That dog would of been A. Godfrey's "Sam" ..... litter brother to my old bitch's Dam. What was the Collie dog t
  4. Whin / Samba ..... The Drum dog wasn't D. James bred , but was put over a DJ owned / bred bitch to produce my older bitch Purdey. Drum was a decent animal, (altho his sire would of knocked spot's off him in the field) saw him work several time's, but has T. Nixon admitted would probably had been a even better dog in somebody's else's hand's due to Tony's ill health at time's not allowing him to get out has much has he would of liked. Samba .... the video was done has a kind of stud promotional thing, ( well edited ) and I supposed it worked has he covered several collie bred bitches.
  5. Simoman ...... The 2 Collie type bitches that I keep have D. James's breeding in them. They are not world beater's but have served me well enough over the past few year's, mainly for rabbiting day and night Purdey Jewell
  6. Jack- russels ..... I like Collie x lurcher's and have to say that pup of your's is a beauty What is the other collie type in the pic with him ...... His mother ????
  7. The Hunt Kennels , Kennel Lane , Witherley , Atherstone Sorry mate .... No post code
  8. Chester .... really like the look of all the pup's and how they have turned out, hope they do the job this coming season for there owner's.... BUT .. the one that alway's catches my eye is your Brindle dog, have you got any decent pic's of him ???
  9. Can't see anything ...... :11:
  10. Looking good Frank ..... What happened to the broken coated pup with the blue eye from the same litter, that one stood out to me when you put the pic's up of the whole litter....
  11. Nobby, your abit behind the times mate, look at the date.... Feb 2005
  12. Samba ..... There both many generation's bred Collie x Greyhound's mate. The old bitch (collie marked now 9 yr's old) is out of a D. James bitch by T. Nixon's "Drum", and the other blue bitch 2 yr's of age, is a niece of the old bitch, out of her litter sister by S. Moffatt's "Casper"..... Young Jewell ..... Old Purdey.... The pair of them....
  13. Just a few from this season.....
  14. Great rear heated window's in them Skoda's.... so you keep your hand's warm while your pushing them.
  15. I'll agree that they are "Easier" but in no shape of form would I call them "EASY".... Well not for the Collie Cur rabbit hound's that I keep. I've spun a few over in the past... but the vast majority have been on drill field's and not in small walled field's with longish pasture.... and believe me on the drill they don't seem to run any slower than daytime IMHO I think you just stand a better chance of keeping them in the field....
  16. Welcome mate.... I'm from the same small town
  17. Cocker .... The 1/2 cross bitch you had 15 year's ago, would she of been by the Collie dog Rufus by any chance ???
  18. Whin ... are you still running the collie x's ???
  19. Chalky..... Like the look of the dog on the right of the pic, are they bred the same way ???? Using the chocolate collie dog onto a greyhound bitch. I think I saw JB with the bitch on the left at last year's Midland
