It was a great day out despite the wet weather But hey once your wet .... your wet Left the camera in the motor on the first couple of warren's, rain was just to heavy. Me and Nobby worked one warren while TOMO did another. Wasn't long before there was 13 (unlucky for them) in the bag. Moved then onto a big bank, while I stretched out 100 yard's of net Nobby ran out two 25 stopnet's dissecting the bank in a couple of places. If I understand the rules correctly, it's the dog that catches the most rabbit's from a 3 hour period ???? SO if I was running a dog in the comp (tho I'm not) against someone who's dog doesn't retrieve. Lamp on... squatter there, and there etc etc. Dog run's connect's with rabbit .... Owner then run's connect's with dog + rabbit. Obviously there ain't gonna be many of the said squatter's left about for the next chap's dog to run, and any rabbit's still about are going to be in there starting block's. Yea I've read it, decent book with some nice stories in it. Esecially like chapter 5.... Hawk's and Hawking Gave Paul a few pic's of lamping to use for the book, on page's 61,62,66and 71 Would recommend it ...

Are you going to breed old Purdey Steve, and if so what you going to put over her. regards collie john. John.... Wouldn't of minded taking a litter from Old Purd, but with her now being 9 1/2 I think she's a touch too old, even tho she is still fairly fit and healthy. Also with Jewell only being just over 2 I think it would be hard enough getting enough work for another lurcher pup, that's to test them properly anyway......

Whin / Samba ..... The Drum dog wasn't D. James bred , but was put over a DJ owned / bred bitch to produce my older bitch Purdey. Drum was a decent animal, (altho his sire would of knocked spot's off him in the field) saw him work several time's, but has T. Nixon admitted would probably had been a even better dog in somebody's else's hand's due to Tony's ill health at time's not allowing him to get out has much has he would of liked. Samba .... the video was done has a kind of stud promotional thing, ( well edited ) and I supposed it worked has he covered several collie bred bitches.
