Possible controversial thought - I think I’m going to miss lockdown in a lot of ways if it ever goes. The countryside is quiet for once, it’s taking a breath. Roads are quiet, animals are out, it’s peaceful and quiet in the fields.

Currently yes. When he came here he was of a really nervous disposition. But the lad who rescued him saw some potential, just he’d never been socialised or seen owt. Scared of the dark when it came to his job. I have a feeling he will end up dropping in. But I don’t think he will make an earth dog, which suits me. Could be wrong though as he’s certainly not scared to get stuck in above ground. He’s also randomly, obsessed with finding muntjac. Which is very handy indeed.

Thanks to another member on here who’s been a long term pen pal ? and who’s a big softy, I got landed with a patterdale terrier with social anxiety issues. He’s been here a couple of months and has become a bit of a legend. So thanks very much, it all worked out rather well.

It does always make me giggle a bit - usually those who are the most devoutly BRITISH are the English. A nation made up of successive waves of invaders and settlers. Its the Celts of this land who are the true fore fathers - not a bunch of invasive Saxons who came here for economic and social reasons and who stayed on - most blotting out the culture, religion and identity of those who had inhabited these lands before them ......

I’m with you on a lot of stuff you say, as much as that would probably surprise you. Taking the sheep metaphor on - no I would never use a ram with no knowledge of its health status or EBV (estimates breeding values - based on tracking its offspring, and other relatives etc) However - if I did know that stuff, the breed, type and what colour it’s face was, would have no bearing what so ever, if I thought it added something I wanted to add or had some positive traits etc. So what I’m saying is that knowing all of the stuff above is important - but I will always go for functi

They publish the numbers recovered to mate. Closed cases are split into recovered and dead. They also record the number of current cases which are mild or critical.
