Never lasted long the fella supposed to have someone coming to take the dog but he will call if doesn't work out so out looking again. Not bothered if I have to get pup to be honest as I can then choose what I like and I'm in no rush for another couple of weeks as I'm off on holiday for a week soon and if I don't get something in place for when I get back I'll get myself a pup from good workers as soon as I back then put the time into it
I've got a Russell x patt to have a look at, just under 2 years old and never been to ground neither did the parents. Hopefully have a trial with Her and if alls good then I will take her
Sorry to hear that mate I imagine your gutted especially as she was such a good bitch for you. So wat are you thinking about getting next. Whatever you decide I hope it all goes well for you ?
I understand what you mean, when I've been out bushing with a mate his dog is a great. Goes in anywhere and he's vocal which has been a great help but he has also stopped our mooching a couple of times as he's gone to ground but has done his job so can't complain but digging just not for me as I'll be out a lot on my own a lot
I do like the spaniel terrier x it's just I need something that doesn't go to ground. They seem to be a little vocal which alerts the lurcher and I like that. Do you think if you have a pup you can teach it not too I just imagine if it's on scent and it wants to go it will go down
Do people think springer or cocker. I like the cocker as it seem to be that bit smaller for tighter spots but maybe a springer better as I'm hoping he takes a dislike to the old charlie
I have done mate but replys a bit scarce not as busy as this section it seems. There's plenty of working pups on other sites just if I can get one off here and parents are working or one that maybe already done a bit. Just keeping my options open really seeing wats about, thanks for the reply though ?
As in the title I'm after a bushing dog to partner my lurcher. Got into hunting not to long ago now and after going out this season lamping and a few daytime mooches with a mate I now need to get my own bushing dog but need something that not going to go to ground and a bit vocal would be good. Going to need it in about a months time once all new kennels built. I would rather something that maybe been doing a bit but if that route fails I'll go down the line of getting a pup and bringing it on. Anyone with any info send me a pm. I'm not a messer and the dog would get plenty of work with a good
Just wandering if anyone working these as bushing dogs and what are they like?. Going to be getting a bushing dog in next month or so when new kennels built and wandering if a cocker worth a punt. Working lines of course. Currently just one lurcher at the moment, saluki bull grey and done a bit on a the lamp this season and really happy with him and been out in the day with a mate a few times who has a Plummer but I want something that doesn't go to ground but also do like that bit of voice the Plummer gives to alert the runners. I am pretty new to the game so would be interested wat people ha
Anything and everything to me, the bigger the better, pre ban obviously. Do love to bag an old Charlie though. Daytime or night time I'm not really fussed I love it all. Or should I say I did before 2005. ?
