    Is right, its good the way they'll hunt anything especially in water used to hunt rats with the ferret and russels when I was a kid the rats when bolted always headed for the water to make it harder for the dogs that would be no problem for a mink. I wonder would the bolt rabbits the same ?

    Well this is the thing a lot of lads on here like them. With the amount of stuff being bred there you could be lucky enough and get something decent but the odds are against it. I wouldn't take the chance meself. Atb

    As I said on here before I had a 3/4 off him bout 6 years ago. At the time for whatever stupid reason I was looking a genuine 3/4 with nowt else in it to see how it would go. There was plenty of pups about the place but all had loads of saluki blood in them so I thought at least id be sure of what was in the pup. I think a lot of people tried his stuff for that reason plus the yarns that Plummer was telling. As people are saying here no one forces you to buy off him but all hunting people are optimistic about pups but once bitten twice shy. A 40 ft lorry could have turned quicker than the one

    Id rather be out with a game dog like that than a mutt that goes half hearted....nothing like watchin pure commitment. My mate had a bitch that was like a shotgun she knocked herself out loads of times...brilliant to watch if a rabbit got to cover on the lamp she went through it like a chainsaw. just wouldn't let up sure isn't that why we do it ??     Haven't seen too many straight collie half dogs but knew a fella had one years ago....big brute of a dog. he was telling me he could go well at a hare up until Christmas time and once went through a window after a cat in the garden... just goes to show they're all different. Looked a bit like that hound in northernlites post lol

    Here was just looking through the posts there on the collie crosses. Seems to be a common fault there of collies "picking their runs" couldn't think of anything worse. I've a wee bitch pup here with a good bit of collie in her shell not be staying if she does that lol
