Graham Wellstead in his book "The Ferret and Ferreting Guide" writes about a litter of kits he hand reared from 4 days old.He goes into detail the ins and outs of rearing the litter in which 8 out of the 10 kits survived. He concludes by saying the kits grew up to be the most fantastic workers, absolutely steady at all times. It's well worth a read for anyone thinking of hand rearing a litter of kits.
There is a potential problem that the kits won't have the essential shit from "mother's milk" but other than that, like any animal, hand reared or natural, it's what you put into them that count
Used to have AOL on the phone line for £16 a month. Changed to BT Broad band about 2 years ago.
Awesome connection and download speed etc but a bit pricey at £35 a month but we're business users with 24/7 service.
Good kit when it's working but been jerked about a bit when connection is lost 24/7 means they'll log your call! Cheers, D.

just spoke to me old man there has to be proven damage to livestock
Dogs may only be shot as a last resort, and they have to be in the act of worrying livestock. The farmer then has 48 hours to inform the police of his or her actions.
I know of a case where a farmer caught two dogs, tied them to a fence and then shot them. He was prosecuted as by catching them and tying them to a fence, they could not have been in the act of worrying livestock.
As someone has already suggested, it was probobly warning shots (which is a very quick way of loosing a shotgun certificate) - but trespa

Hand squeaking. It's a thing you need to practice. I have had strange looks at work whilst practising. It's also different trying to do it on a windy night out in the rain rather than in a "sterile" environment. That's why I use a caller. About £4 from E Bay including postage. Cheers, D.
