  3. Sorry guys, I'm Lancastrian but have loved Cornwall and the Cornish way of life for almost 20 years I've lived here. I believe Big Bulls off this site is Cornish and also young Willf1 deffo is , his family farm in St. Breward but I think he's found his dick now as he hasn't been on in months! NCH terrier show is Oct 18th and I have stood down to let one of the Penine guys judge the lurchers so they are definately here then. Thery usually come down for a week and have a day out with ECH as well as a couple of other SW packs. Cheers, D.

  9. Was out hunting with hounds a few years back and I went back to the jeep and couldn't find my keys. Had not walked more than 100 from it but never found them Missus had to come out 15 miles with the spares Doh! Cheers, D.
  10. They're allright in standard form but would need proper tyres to use off road proper. I use mine for pulling the quad and trailer around the Moor or for going to places a bit away where it's nice to have a bit of comfort/space etc. Drive very well on the road though and decent fuel consumption. HTH. Cheers,D.
  11. They ain't mountains mate, theyr'e spoil piles from the old mine/clay excavations. I was on the other side of the valley there today. Who has the permish please Ross (PM if you want) or is Mr Hambury Tennyson away exploring again? Cheers, D.
  12. [sir mark Prescott is THE man for coursing as anyone who was a Marshall, Beater or Steward at the Waterloo cup will tell you.
  13. RIP Drum, the real deal. ATB D.
  14. Can't find the farm but here is the post code for the Red Lion pub which is a mile away and signposted from there to the show. PL30 3DN. Hope this helps. Cheers, D.
  15. Now postponed till Sunday 11th October. All other details correct Cheers, D.
  16. How ti Fettling Chris? I made that transition almost 20 years ago from near Accrington. Best thing I ever did! Cornish dialect is fantastic, one of my favourite Cornish words is "Evvyisum" To mean "is that article particularly weighty" Seriously the word "Brave" is used to mean "very" as in "it's a brave old way away" in my part of Cornwall. Your right by the way about the divide between Burnley and Accrington, you could be almost in another country! Cheers, D. Or should I say I'll sithi.
  17. NCH are holding their annual terrier, lurcher and family dog show on Sunday 11th October at Sanmark Farm, Trequite. St. Kew, near Wadebridge. There will also be lurcher racing classes, bar, refreshments, barbeque etc etc. Full schedule of classes, starts at 2.00pm. Situated a mile or so from the A390 (Atlantic Highway) sign posts will be in place from Red Lion Pub, PL30 3DN Cheers, D.
  18. Basicly, to drive any quad on the road you need a full UK drivers licence. Start from there. Cheers, D
  19. John, I think that you will regret this decision when you finally see one and get a chance to see just how good they are, for me, the reduction in the weight I'm carrying up and down steeps banks and hills has been a real boon. If your pockets are deep enough you could buy two and simple swap the lamp over when the first has given out. Two of these packs would only weigh 3 1/2 lbs altogether against I would guess 10-20lbs for your current battery. Hope they're the biz 'cos I've just ordered one. Cheers, D.
  20. Recall??? What's that then? It's what a gun does when it goes off!
  21. get a local blacksmith etc to make you one. Mine cost me a fiver. Cheers, D.
