  1. Sandymere read the manifesto labour put out today, to even try and implement it would send us back to the 70’s and the winter of discontent. Rolling blackouts, 3 day weeks etc the lot. I get it your red through and through but this has been tried and was directly responsible for Thatcher who you seem to hate so much. BJ is going to invest plenty in the transport system, police, nhs etc but what Corbyn wants to do is irresponsible and would leave the country bankrupt and lucky if we don’t end up like Venezuela, once prosperous now people eating their own dogs as they are starving. Anyone voting
  2. I don’t see anything positive about Corbyn being old labour, this country does not need a 1970’s throwback unable to move with the times. You seem completely blinkered to any negativity against Corbyn and labour in general blaming every single problem with Tory budget cuts. Do you feel comfortable voting for someone that supports enemies of our country? That has completely failed to stop antisemitism in his party? A party so intolerant of anyone questioning them that a bbc journalist got booed today for asking questions on their crazy suicide note..I mean manifesto? A man the scores of his own
  3. Some excellent points made there Nicepix. On a wider note and slightly off topic the NHS absolutely isn’t working, the billions of pounds ploughed into (regardless of if the government is Tory or labour) aren’t enough to make the NHS work for the entire country. It needs major reforms and unfortunately no government has the balls to come out and say so they just throw more money at the problem hoping it will fix it. If nothing is done to properly change the system then the NHS will at some point come to a creaking halt and end up failing in tragic fashion despite the heroic frontline sta
  4. I live about as far as possible from you IWW (I am in sussex) but I know around here there are some really good charities etc that have Christmas dinner for everyone and anyone at the local civic centre, I would guess there is something similar around you. I know it may not be your crowd so to speak but you never know who you might meet and better than being on your own ??.
  5. Every labour government in of history of this country has left office with the economy in a significantly worse state than they found it in and moaning about Tory austerity as a labour voter is pretty one sided as the last labour chancellor left a note saying there is no money! What choice did they have?? History of global economics shows that spending your way out a recession doesn’t work! Socialism ends up hurting the people they claim to represent. You can’t just keep spending money the country don’t have and keep letting non contributing immigrants and health tourists into the country and
  6. Vote for whoever you think will be best for you if elected, I do ask anyone voting to actually look into that party properly though before just voting though. There are no great options tbh, lots of negatives for all parties. I will be voting for Boris as it’s the only real chance of getting any kind of brexit but there are plenty of negatives to the Tory party. I will say though that Corbyn is a dangerous man for the uk and I genuinely believe would be disastrous for our country. His policies would bankrupt the country in no time and all his promises of “free” stuff will all need paying for a
  7. Definitely saluki in there...looks at them ears!
  8. I have had the last two I had snipped around now (6 months old) so they were all healed and ready for “action” come spring, both hobs (one is now dead of old age other still doing the job) have taken 6-10 jills a summer out of season no problem and I never had a jill pregnant via one of them. If your not sure just ring the vet you plan on getting to do the procedure and ask them.
  9. Whoever wins this election we are headed for a massive recession in the next 1-3 years. We are already in massive huge debt and whatever happens with brexit (bo Jo’s deal or Corbyn doing god knows what) it will cause the economy to stagnate for a while as businesses work out what course to take, you then factor in that whoever wins it can’t wait to crack open the money taps and pour billions of money we don’t have into everything from dental care to railways and we are just storing up massive problems for ourselves as country. Red Jez seems to want to make everything free in the country if he
  10. Rabbits that’s pretty much it, got a big old chest freezer for summer. The odd bird if I am given them but they only eat flesh and whole carcasses at that. I got some skinny kits off someone in the summer and parents where skinny also, he said they are greyhound ferrets and always slim (? ok mate) 4 months later kits are fat as you like and put on weight very fast with me, what was the other guy feeding them....kibble. Ferrets need flesh end of.
  11. Despite the fact the BOTH trump and Boris have stated the NHS is neither up for grabs by Boris or wanted by Trump it doesn’t stop Corbyn repeating this tired rhetoric about selling the NHS off...no actual evidence obviously that this is happening but it makes for good headlines!
  12. Who are you voting for then WILF? Farage?? Self serving career politician that can’t see he is now damaging his own cause? He is no different to the rest and has no policies other than brexit, this is a General Election about more than just brexit.
  13. I don’t think there is a point there....of course every problem is caused by the Tory party ?. Listen to them go on about austerity which we only have because Gordon Brown and Tony Blair got us into eye watering amounts of debit despite governing during one of the most prosperous periods in British history in terms of growth etc. Remember the note to the new chancellor? There is no money, good luck! Says it all.
  14. I am not for one minute suggesting all labour governments are bad and that I would never vote labour but I could not ever vote for this Labour Party, they do not represent the people they should and their policies are dangerous for our country and for democracy. I would not let this Labour Party stop me voting labour in the future yet so many labour voters allow a Tory government off 40 years ago to stop them voting conservatives? I don’t get it? I’ve also despite posting regularly on the political threads had anyone give any proper rational reasons for voting for his particular Labour Party.
  15. I have yet to speak to a single person that is planning on voting labour that actually seems to understand why they are voting labour?? I hate the tories, ok fine I can respect that but vote for someone other than labour. I always vote labour, I can’t respect that. Your leader is genuinely dangerous to our country and it’s a disgrace that he could ever be elected leader of one of two largest parties in the country. How you can support someone with his record on terrorism and anti Semiticism is amazing. Sandymere loves to call Boris a liar but compared to Corbyn he is a saint. There own lifelon
  16. Top cross, well done blackdog and good luck Keith. Puppy is just what you need. Always a cross I have fancied....unfortunately no room in the inn or I would be begging blackdog for a puppy!
  17. Whilst it is commendable to try and stop the spread of the dreaded RVHD if it is as contagious as sounds I would say your fighting a losing battle, from my understanding of the spread it is already countrywide and the rabbits chances of making a comeback are more to do with developing immunity as it is so contagious that you will not be able to stop the spread, with farmers, birds, livestock, walkers, other wildlife it’s just not possible. I know in Australia in took around ten years for this strain to not exactly die out but it’s effectiveness to seriously reduce. By my estimates we are arou
  18. Agreed. Even the conservatives are basically a centre left party with their current policies...look at the spending pledges they have made, not very conservative.
  19. Not according to southeast waters website....Brighton for example uses 100% groundwater (water from under the ground) varies from area to area obviously but most places in the south east as you can see from that attached picture use mainly groundwater.
  20. Sad times but I fear your situation is becoming the norm and those lucky enough to still be catching large numbers are the exception. Rabbits are tenacious and fecund little survivors and will hopefully be back in good numbers but may take people being a bit sensible (don’t kill every rabbit and wonder why there’s none there next season) and be a patient as it won’t happen overnight. This summer round me i genuinely thought they had turned a corner after some poor seasons last few years but last month or so it feels like RVHD has struck again and knocked them right back....
  21. I have asked in this thread and the brexit one some very specific questions about how anyone can bring themselves to vote for Corbyn and have yet to receive and proper answer, just BGD basically saying because he is racist.... Sandy your a left wing Corbyn lover can you please explain how you can bring yourself to put this man in power?? I get you don’t like Boris etc but vote for the anti democrats or Greens or anyone but Corbyn. A terrorist supporter and racist with a hatred of this country. He is so dangerous that he wouldn’t actually pass the vetting process to be allowed access to go
  22. Wow, dog wasn’t even that keen he properly had to in courage it wasn’t like it was an accident. I am no cat lover but that’s just ridiculous
  23. Most water actually comes from underground (only about 10% of water comes from reservoirs in the southeast for example) and its filtered through the ground, if it’s come through chalk then it picks up a lot of calcium which is a cause of hard water. So basically different types of water across the country depending on where it came from, it’s all safe to drink but does taste very different depending on where you live!
  24. Very welcome Phil, I have your other books and will be after the latest one!
