  1. Only if your an illegal immigrant and promise to vote labour.
  2. Is the badger cull still a thing? I assume not especially under this pathetic government. How badgers are still a protected species is beyond me.
  3. Along with RVHD badgers have had a major impact on rabbit numbers. The bloody things are everywhere, always seeing nests dug out by bloody badgers and warrens taken over. They really are everywhere whereas even 10 years ago they were quite rare. I’d shoot the lot if it was up to me, nasty disease riddled things.
  4. Agreed love every single one of those shows. I think Landman may well be the best of the lot though.
  5. Watched both series one and two of Snatch and well worth watching but not a patch on the film.
  6. Nice day by the looks of it, shame so many people are clueless and so quick to call the law but no harm done I suppose. Good numbers you’ve got there.
  7. 100 percent true. Definitely can’t get the jill jab anymore. Vas hob the only way now.
  8. I’ve got a big strong non ped whippet. Blue dog stands at 22” and built like an outhouse, been an excellent working dog for me although he is way to keen on deer for my liking. Despite his size he has caught several fallow but also takes a fearful kicking at times but doesn’t seem to put him off. I would have another but would be very careful about the dog as would want another big string one which aren’t so easy to find.
  9. I remember a bit of land I used to lamp at 9.30-10.00 often see not a thing come midnight the rave had started…..Whilst you’re no doubt keen leave them a few weeks and then go out later ideally on a windy night. After a couple of shines rabbits will run at the first sign of a lamp or even a person. I’ve got a thermal that shows a lot further than a lamp and they are running sometimes when your nowhere near.
  10. Not on on deer it won’t, no way a dog that weighs 11kgs is taking deer regularly. Although the pictures make me doubt that dog is 11kgs and 20 inches.
  11. I did think that! 11kgs and taking deer? I doubt it
  12. Had a few short trips with my dog and new pup. Been steady so far numbers seem about the same as last year so far. Pup has done fine for 9 months old. Like you lots of cover still which makes life harder but few hedges been cut which is nice.
  13. That’s it about the tolerance, last season on the best bit of permission I have every rabbit more or less had mixi scars. They had all had it and recovered, years ago that place would have been basically wiped out. That’s part of the change. I used to go out with 3/4 of us every weekend and getting 20 plus was literally a bare minimum and 50 plus a very good day but not unusual and now I mainly go on my own for a few hours with no nets and the dog and if we catch 6 I’ve had a great day. Very different days but both enjoyable, I’ve even got an agreement with a keeper and a couple of farme
  14. I hope you didn’t drink the “milk”
  15. An experienced ferret is such an asset, just go down do the job and no drama. Only issue I find with my hobs is they can get a little to efficient with experience! I had a hob I basically had to stop taking as he killed what felt like every rabbit he came across and in such short order I barely had to time to locate the kill. Not what’s needed.
  16. I appreciate the frustration but you need to be patient, 3 years is absolutely nothing. It will take approximately 10-15 years minimum at a guess. I spent a lot of time researching about RVHD in Australia and New Zealand and it seemed to take around that to build an immunity and then rabbits do what they best! Same with mixi, I bet every ferret man in country gave up on rabbits after mixi and 20 years later (although mixi was still a blight on the poor coney) numbers where at good levels again. This is a long game for the rabbit man (or women) but for the money you’ll get now you’ll kick yours
  17. At least he is posting something hunting related unlike most on this site. Good to see someone actually getting out and doing something don’t knock it!
  18. Nice video mate, lovely ground also nice warrens and plenty of rabbits. Brindle dog looks very useful? How is it bred? Black dog just a pup?
  19. Classic one sided bbc rubbish. Kill all the stripeys. Hedgehog killing b*****ds
  20. I have had issues breeding silvers in general. Twice now I have breed and silver to a polecat and had crippled youngsters. Same thing twice they seemed fine when they were very little and as they started walking around properly there back legs just kind of gave up, definitely something in the silver gene that isn’t quite right.
  21. Where can you watch this? Is on a streaming platform? Loves a good western I do.
  22. No he is grey/whippet/collie. Lovely little thing not nice to see him with a face full of stitches
  23. Thanks for all the reply’s gents it is much appreciated and more or less has just confirmed what I guessed. The balls off was as much as anything to appease the wife but don’t think I’ll bother now. A little bit of extra info the older dog has got a fresh cut (scabbed today) on his ear and his sensitive about his ears so I wonder if pup nipped with sharp little teeth and he overreacted?? Getting him checked at the vet tomorrow just to make sure everything is ok also.
  24. I hope so. They had just been so good together until yesterday and have been fine today, I would have thrashed him yesterday but had my little girl literally in my arms in tears and didn’t want to scare her or he would have got a proper thump.
