Was there a note attached, " use this before you enter the house"". And is that the one with warthog scent gland juice in it ? U?

He retired and his replacement is the most miserable man ever created, worse than me even!

Getting on for 25years ago I helped a keeper for three years and we made a brilliant team. Ammo, powder, primers, petrol, diesel, firewood by tonnes, rabbit money and whiskey! U.

I have worked with keepers too and it can make a good team. The keeper I help now is erm different! He doesn't carry a gun! But he delights in telling me where he saw one and how close he got to it!! Then he expects me to burn my diesel to try and get it for him!!! Do I get an invite to shoot on beaters day, err no!!!! Do I get a donation, err no!!!! Am I about done on there, err yes ? U.

When I go out with a spring gun I never feel limited to one or two. Done plenty pest control with a springer, same results mate. U. -

I won't bother with blow up dollies again. My 99 don't twang, just a rewarding thump. The sak moderator off my WMR shuts it right up. It sits nice and I only ever shoot it offhand to 50 yards plus. Why even my little Chinky under lever is a blast now it's fettled. Dollies are over priced and too dependent on machinery all their working life, oh, and they are sterile, just like a Japanese 4cylinder bike!! U. -
Who cares.....

Over the years I have seen eley 22 rise and fall and rise again in quality. U.

You know my greedy girl Bess? Well a couple of years ago I tried to get her to lob a .690" ball from her .750" bore but to no avail at all. Recently I happened on some .732" ball and today I shot five. The target was an old discarded 'keep out' sign that I reasoned was the chest size of a small deer. When you look at the target ignore an existing hole on the far left. Shot one nicked the bottom edge, you can see that just above the breech. Shot two aiming just the same went two inch lower than the first. I adjusted the hold for the following three and am delighted in

How do you go on for ammo and such? Guess you have to make your own black powder!

Just checked your profile and turned green! We love the west coast of Scotland and have always wanted to move there. Surprised you have a mouse gun in the land of sideways rain! U.

Monday afternoon she was hunting poults but went away from me, I panicked and lobbed a long 22 shot at her only to miss a broadside. I repeated the shot later and the round was there! Yesterday I got the wind on my face slowly creeping done the woodside only to have her in front mousing. I moved closer when I could only to then have her coming towards me. At 40 yds I grunt to stop her. The sights settle and the trigger breaks only to have her turn and run just missing the bullet! I don't know why I stopped her, I didn't need to do it !!! Ahhhrrrr....

They can become quite stressful those clever blighters! Going again after work and not particularly looking forward to it, you know, when you start doubting yourself! U.

Wife at work, granddaughter gone home, over weight, not walked my full walk in months! Time to lug my arris the full distance. No breakfast! A full six hours still on the 22 HV ammo. Several squirrels fell and a couple of crows were missed. Loads of fox sign on the far edge of my patch in acres and acres of maize. I have really enjoyed using my 22 these past few weeks. I was getting tired of it with subsonic ammo but the HV stuff makes it more interesting and the extra noise does not spoil anything. Jess had a ball too. U.

Underdog replied to Marctitty's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Don't know! But every tikka I handled, owned and shot beat every offering HW can offer, airguns excluded.
