  1. Hey it does don't it ? Cheers Gav.
  2. At long last I got to get out at first light for a full morning of walking and hunting. What a beautiful day. Took a crow off the wing and a Maggie. As a shot gun the little .45 punches well above it's weight. Running out of shot on crows I firked a ball out and shot a 20yd squirrel to end a glorious morning. Plenty of pheasants about too and I think another fox is about too! U.
  3. Yeah, know. It's primary inception was to avoid leading the bore and facilitate the use of soft lead. Hot climates can play havoc with lubricated bullets. The lube melts etc, like some 22's do in summer. Paper patching gets around that. I was using a card though. Rolled around a dowel, one folded end and a thin card glued on to form a cup.
  4. I was telling it off mate, I think it was the one that tugged on my string and pigeon in summer! It's had the rabbits and pheasants off the back field too. I get fed up with them. They get dropped around here by the hunt! Thankfully it was hungry and ran in a treat this time. I bait the back not for a few weeks, probably made her a bit keener!
  5. Get fed up of trying to look like a bush and err not!
  6. Mrs just said there's a fox on the back field! Came in to the squeak a treat. 60yds or so. LR subbie. U.
  7. That's a good start. My 94 did some fantastic shots on reloads with A2400. It excelled with PPU 357 fmj also.
  8. I made the card wrap so it stayed with the shot. I recocered the card and inspected them. I drop a bore light down to inspect the bores. None of my guns have paper thin barrel walls. I am not advocating no protection. U.
  9. I had a Nikon 2-7 on my w94 and prefer the optics to luepold! Still have it, now on my Brno 22. To be honest though a half decent 4x or 6x would do. Good choice of rifle by the way. U.
  10. Going off on a tangent. I have wrapped steel in card in a muzzleloader and suffered no I'll effects. However, I wondered just how bad would it be if a gun did end up with straight lines in the bore. I mean some barrels have straight rifling or straight rifled choke tubes to prevent wad rotation. Countless guns are shot with pitting of various degrees and no discernable hindrance to performance is detectable! So, just how bad would be some straight lines? U.
  11. VFD....I thought that was viral fart disease!
  12. Does it have the same trigger as the T3? If so that is good! It's way easier to improve than a CZ. U.
  13. Oh, it may of been a franchi now you mention it!.
  14. I remember that, in fact as a teenage lad I bought a Webley tracker for £2 a month from a catalogue. A mate bought a Beretta o/u.
  15. Thought one of you cheeky monkeys would pick up on the "size" thing !?
  16. Fancied a walk, feeling better and my Mrs hogging the TV remote I grabbed the 22 and some eley HV HP. Decided to circle some rough ground that is ideal for fox to lie up in during the day and dodge me during the day. Some early mornings I get lucky but I likes me bed! This summer anyway. I was half way around and three silenced center fire shots rang out, less than a mile away upwind! I carried on my course. My lamp spots a fox the other side of a valley, at least 400yds or more. I stalks it down to under 100 yards. Sitting down I could not aim so I waited, r
  17. German engineering.....got to give to them.....they are mustard (German mustard) with engine management systems ?
  18. 22shot shells are better in the house than a long range mouse rifle.... when I say long range....as long as it's not to windy.....just saying ?
  19. Aren't they doing them in a proper rim fire cal then?
  20. Granddaughter is a bug trafficker for sure! Germ warfare is very much active with her!! They should be dressed in one of them containment suits before visiting and strapped to a chair for the duration!!
  21. That's typical of VW drivers, self centered unfulfilled egotistical numb skulls " get out of my way" individuals. That should stir things up a bit. U?
