I got a coloured telly, just to show I hold know grudges, but in all seriousness division through religion, colour and creed is just another tool for the pencil necks that run the world, if we all sat down together and talked we,d soon realise that the only problems we are facing are the people that allegedly look after our best interests, governments feed hate and division, that's how they get the great unwashed to send their offspring to die on foreign soil, and has been a tactic used since we stood upright

The same stupid naïveity of these left wing luvies, is what makes them so vulnerable to a scam, they try not to see any bad in people, and walk face first into old hamheads love offencive, roll the clock forward a few years and misses luvie is left at home to look after the 10 kids wondering what happened to lovely hamhead, whilst he's roaming the street with a pocket full of giro trying to shag anything with a pulse, bet her parents are chuffed to f**k with there new son in law

i think the shop in nailsworth is something to do with them so they may know the name of it, worth an ask
-
i don't know how far into Wales you are but just this side of the Severn in a village called nailsworth,Gloucestershire there is a little craft shop that sell the most amazing sticks, they also have classes with the guy that makes them sorry I don't know the name of the shop but It's a nice little village for a wander round and a bite of lunch if it's not to far

ouch, back to the drawing board, that's the downside to board cut catty,s, they don't take a fork hit very well, sorry to the man you bought it from but I would be inclined to take the bands off, buy a square meter of ply and use it as a template, cut yourself out half a dozen and you will be sorted, also may be worth changing the design of the fork tips so you can attach the bands ott instead of ttf on some of them, you will go through many styles before you find what's best for you, I always found ott easier to shoot but slightly harder to be accurate with, but you seldom get fork hits with

Many moons ago an old acquaintance had a pure racing greyhound from Ireland, it was from a long line of track dogs and demanded a top price, he was given it for free because it refused to chase the electric hare, the reason it would not chase the hare was it was a bit more intelligent than an average grew and new the hare was not real, but in the field it worked everything as good or better than most lurchers I,ve seen, it lamped, retrieved jumped well and had a wicked turn of speed but it's crowning moment was when he took it to Scotland and it coursed and brought down a fully grown red stag

. I have the unenviable claim to having known the first person convicted on DNA in England, the crime was so heinous that I would never have believed it in a million years of the man in question, but the DNA proved it without a shadow of doubt, I bet there are a lot of people out there who thought they were clean away with it, that feel the noose getting tighter with everyone of these cases, and as most of them are nonce,s good riduns the dirty b*****ds

I would say probably best to get on utube as there are hundreds of how to films on there, for the fork end you need to learn the wrap and tuck method, I,ve stuck some pics on the ppmg thread on how I attach my pouch,s as I find it quicker easier and longer lasting than the wrap and tuck , if you can't find what you are looking for let me know and I,ll try and put some pics up

nice input, you certainly sorted that out with your vast knowledge, I bet you got a 1/16 bull X 4/16 grey X 1/8 collie X 4/16 saluki x4/16 whippet X1/16 pointer out of Willies patch crossed with Daves whippet have,nt you I know id be wasting me breath tryin to educate you, so i wont bother. But do yourself a favour and dont bet anymore as your knowledge on lurchers is as bad your bets[/quote) my next bet is, I was out there doing it for real when you were still shitting yellow, so yes you would be wasting your time educating me, but thanks anyway, I only asked a simple question, if you can

I,m quite happy to call him a collie X, what would you say, but in truth I have,nt a clue and don't care,Wouldn't it just be a lurcher? yes exactly and a lurcher is a mongrel, I,m just a bit curious why some folk seem more interested in the make up of there dog rather than what it does, that's all, I,ve had terriers and runners for over thirty years but only had the Internet for under one year, so I,m seeing a lot of things that are new to me, I,m not trying to be awkward,I,m just curious, but I seem to have touched a bit of a nerve with some folk

this is what I,m trying to say, I know that thirty year ago people sold dogs in exchange and mart and told the vendors they were deerhound greyhound X,s or collie crosses, etc but it was a generalisation, most lurchers were sold at shows from the backs of cars and vans, for a twenty, Hancock was probably the first to actually guarantee what was in the make up, most other vendors were selling lurcher to lurcher bred dogs, if you were buying a deerhound X you were hoping for a dog around 27"tts with a rough coat and generally grey in colour, but I also saw loads that never grew up to look like t

How do you know yours isn't a Hancock? Did the vendor tell you it wasn't? Lol know tattoo in his ear he was a freebie with know real history

I agree with what your saying, but it's just some people seem obsessed with almost having a pedigree of the dogs make up, I am a bit new to the net so it's just a bit strange seeing title upon title of threads starting with things like "2/8collie 1/8bull 3/8 grey 2/8 saluki any one else got this cross" Were as I grew up thinking a lurcher is a lurcher, and two good uns of the right size should throw you what you want, I,m only curious,
-
i never said I got a dog because he,s white I said I got a dog because his size and coat suits the type of land I work on, and not because he is bred by crossing a meriad of breeds that are more often just what people tell you, I am only asking because I have never really known it until I came on here, people just seem a little obsessed with certain crosses, when in truth most are mongrels and the owners only know what people have told them,

drew the line on the band from the word go picked it up from gkj video and as far as far as can see I am doing every thing you say .I am bang on the vertical with the bull just need to get that bit higher without hitting the forks and it will be bulls eye.if you hit the top fork, you need to tilt it slightly away from you,if your hitting the bottom fork tilt it back slightly something that happens to me that I can't really explain is the length of draw, I can use the same anchor and reference points yet find I,m much more accurate if I pull back past my ear in a semi butterfly style than if I

there speaks the voice of reason, I would wager you have been keeping dogs for many moons, could not agree more

I,m not trying to be cantacorous, but I find it quite funny on here reading all the story,s regarding, this cross and that cross, IE I,ve got a bull, saluki whippet crossed with Billy's collie greyhound deerhound etc etc, when really lurchers are just mongrels and unless you are crossing from pedigree breeds you don't really know what percentage of what is in the mix, I have never cared about what was in the mix of my dogs as much as what size it will be or is it smooth or rough etc because these things matter because of the land I hunt over and the style of my hunting, so why are people so obs
-
When you raise your anchor point you are not adjusting your fork angle to compensate, one of the hardest things I struggle getting across to non catty folk, is the point your bands should be as near a 90 degree right angle to your forks before you fire,if you are firing gangster style, IE fork on its side, try drawing a line on the top band along the middle and make sure you can't see the bottom band, if you can see it twist your wrist a little until it's totally hidden by the top band here,s a pic of the line so you know what I mean
-
Funny when he says don't try this I,ve been training dogs for ten years, that may seem impressive to him because he,s only a boy, there are people on here in the pub and down the shops who have been training dogs for thirty, forty years and they are worth a listen, but in the big world, video lad has only just finished his apprenticeship so I don't think I,ll be taking notes

Large Tuna Washed Up In River Severn
Greyman replied to forest of dean redneck's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
There was a sword fish washed up at Severn beach last year, it was still alive, it's a big old river and could hide loads of secrets, I think the last sturgeon in England was caught off Cardiff ? And remember as a kid a live whale washed up at Severn beach -
probably easier if you stuck a list of ones you've seen but not understood up, are they just catty related or things you have Seen else were? I,ll start with a common catty one tbg is Theraband gold, it's the elastic on your catty just catty related will try and get a list together think most are the abb to describe the type of catapult as in pfs pickle fork shooter, opfs original pickle fork shooter
