    Ration packs!

A bread roll down south transforms into a cob as it moves north, though they are one and the same
  2. They were all cichlids mate, not my bag plus I already had fish in other tanks waiting, so I took them up the pet shop and swapped them for some food and other bits for the tank, originally I had a big pair of oscars and the two huge plecs in there but one of the oscars died I took the other one and the plecs to the zoo and moved my community fish in ?
  3. Easier to just swap the price tags in the garden centre ?
  4. A fool and there money are easily parted, ?
  5. You need bog wood that has sunk as opposed to drift wood which will float and boil it in a big pot to kill any nastys it may contain before putting in your tank ?
  6. Nice one mate, do love a fish tank, Pisces ️, bit harsh but I snagged this off a bloke that had his house repossessed, started asking £250 but as the eviction notice come closer the price went down ended up give a £50 the night before the bailiffs turned up, it was brand new at the time and even came with fish in it, Better watch than a tv enjoy
  7. I can’t add you a link, but I read somewhere recently that if we all added a 20 percent tariff to our goods, going to and from Europe the uk would be 8bn up on the eu, the big problem for them and the card they are keeping very quiet about is the European project to dominate the world car market, 5hey are sticking there shite motors in everything from range rovers to Toyota and if it came to a trade war, some 750,000 Germans employed in the car market would loose there jobs overnight which would spell economic and political chaos for Germany/eu, ,
  8. I can see that now the link works ?? the gamekeeper is simply a relic of the past, with no understanding of the modern world all these things were normal practices during a large part of his working life, but he,s failed to adapt and learn to be a good modern hypocrite and liar, not saying I agree with his actions but that his only crime is being really stupid and stuck in the 60s
  9. It’s just a headline with no factual evidence supporting anything or am I missing the blatantly obvious again ?
  10. Sun just coming up on another lovely day, misses birthday so as well as the normal bbq things for later thought I’d get a nice boneless pork leg going on the spit, been soaking in jerk seasoning overnight off to the bakers next for some nice fresh crusty rolls, the simple things in life are often best
  11. I already have a 3.5 t transit long wheel high top which will take a lot of stuff, have looked at a few horse box,s as when I,m all done and settled a nice old camper conversion on it would be my next move so when we come back to visit we still have somewhere to sleep

  13. That’s bloke logic and I would do in a moment mate but, getting the misses on board with my plans demands a bit of compromise, ?
  14. Sorry needs to be secure but thanks ?
  15. No I’m hoping to move onto a boat but I have a lot of gear in my house and workshop so a mobile storage unit will be required, an old lorry seems worth looking at as a short term solution ?
  16. After any tips or knowledge as I am looking to buy an old 7.5 ton lorry only want it to use as storage when I sell up and hit the road so no massive miles, seems the two main contenders are Layland daf or Ford iveco anyone think of any others worth looking at or ones to avoid ???
  17. It’s not just sentiment I do it to make money, have bought and sold future classics for years, have a 1990 Saab 900 aero turbo locked away that I paid £800 for current value around £5k the series 3 £600 bought now at around £3k, buy and sell one or two every few years, a good clean unmolested early scooby would be what I would be after now for a big profit in a few years time but hopefully once I,ve got shot of my current crop I,ll be long gone, the secret is not to pay to much for storage as it will just eat any profit ??
  18. FairPlay some crackers there must say only ever had a couple of goes for mullet and found them one of the most frustrating fish I,ve ever fished for worse than floater fishing for carp ??
  19. The daughter got caught in a bit of an un forecast storm in the North Sea before entering the Caledonian, they had nets over the beds to stop them being thrown out and a bucket each as it was to dangerous to go above deck, loved the never ending daylight at this time of the year and the midges have been forgotten already so I definitely would not let them put me off going ??
  20. I never realised how important water is to our well being but after a thread on here a while back I have started to drink 2litres of water everyday, apparently if your mouth is dry your joints are even drier so rehydrating has become another of my daily routines, It’s just like running an old motor you have to dip the oil and water a bit more often and prevention is better than a cure
  21. Brings a tear to my eye every time I see another smiley going to the great scrapyard in the sky the last great transit ?
  22. Looks like Kev has stolen the lucky pink sleeve mate,
  23. Was told I,m bordering on high blood pressure at my last old bloke mot, main problem I get stressed going to the docs so it rises when I go in, I now check myself as suggested by gnash, and have cut out salt and gold top milk in my diet, have never done diets or anything else just moderation on everything, sadly excess weight and a lack of activity is a curse of getting old so I,m now the same weight as I was at 21 and try to be as active as I can, walk to the shop instead of driving and silly things like that ??
  24. Spell. Checker mate but yes you are right, ??
  25. My daughter just returned a week or so ago from a trip on a sailing ship down the Californian canal, scenery was pretty impressive but she was constantly spitting out midges while we had our evening FaceTime, would not let it put you off though plenty of deet or skin so soft, and some damp leaves on your fire at bedtime, reward is worth the payment ????
