I was chatting with a young copper this morning who is aiming to get in the firearms unit and asked him the question he said they will all be armed with tasers soon but all carrying guns is a long way off and things will have to get much worse before it happens ??

I could be way off the mark as I sometimes forget my own name but I think it may be 250g sugar and same sloes to a litre of spirit and don’t wait for the frost to pick em just stick them in the freezer to split the skins as soon as they look ready ??

Good little tickle if you do make sloe gin, after you have strained all your sloes from the gin chuck the pulp that’s left in a gallon of scrumpy it tastes lovely and blows your socks off you just leave it in for a few weeks then strain it again ??

Last years bumper fruit harvest was more to do with the lack of rainfall we had than the winter we got after I think, plants attempt to reproduce if they think they are going to die, I saw a lot of trees shedding whole branch,s last year which seemed strange until I looked it up and it’s a standard tactic to conserve water during times of drought, nature does have all the answers we have just forgot how to read and understand them

Don’t know if anyone follows the old adage that lots of fruit ? and berry,s means a harsh winter is coming, I do to a degree but also accept there are many variables such as rainfall etc, this morning I saw this laying down across a path in the woods so it’s either going to be a cold winter or a lot of sloe gin/vodka winter either one is winner winner to me ??

Got a few health issues that cause me to trip up quite a bit don’t really bother me that much and I,m a master at tuck and roll, but this morning I took a tumble whilst out with the dogs tucked and rolled straight through the hedge full of b rambles and stingers, now that’s tough ?????

I also watch YouTube for videos of things I,m working on, have just done a Honda Genny for someone, wouldn’t have had the confidence or knowledge to just do it but watched a geezer on YouTube do one ordered the bits and done it myself, it’s now purring like a kitten As I said for people like me that can’t absorb information from books it’s the bollacks, no more sat up all night with a Haynes manual trying to take it in by reading it over and over I love it,

Shocking anyone is paying for leccy these days I,m moving on a boat within the next 12months hopefully sooner so it’s a bit of an essential I,ve done a small set up already and am amazed how much power you can harness from the sun

Don’t think this old boy would kick much ass, but after a lifetime in rodeo, he’s retired to this life still trapping in his 70s one tough old chap, makes some beautiful stuff from his animals he traps all learnt from a second hand book ?
