It’s a non residential marina so you can’t use it as an address, the marina has an electric gate and I have a fob so worse case I will have to sneak in at night and drive it out onto the canal so I can start loading my life on board, even the swing bridges on the canal are closed atm so can’t even go very far, but I can get it next to a road bridge we’re i can get my van to it, I just wanted to stay in the marina for a couple of months to do any small jobs that need doing and familiarise myself with things before setting off, but the best layed plans of mice and men, 35 years I,ve been planni

The dreaded deed has been done just signed all the legal nonsense and handed over the money, only to be told I,m not allowed in the marina from Thursday ?????

Will get some more pics when I,m back down there with a recognisable object mate, not intending eating anything yet apart from the two I already do,, field and puffball, when I,m living on my boat I will be doing a lot of foraging for foods so will probably be next winter before I start getting adventurous, pigeon, duck etc from the towpath and veg from the hedge is were I ,d like to be in a few years time, ?

As I’ve said in the same wood I,ve found several kills and a good turd, a bit further down the lane I took this print in the entrance to a footpath that leads off the same lane, so no, none of them are conclusive and as I said there could be a person doing it all but I don’t think so, when the documentary comes out in the new year, there is a kill scene in it that I found it was in this area ,take a look at it and see what you think, it will be easier when you can see the hole scene and my commentary, unless I,ve been edited out ?

It’s always possible mate but I find roe do it in spring looking for young shoots plus you have the rather sharp well spaced claw marks, like I,ve said it could be a man with a rake, but if I was in the rockies were there are puma or India were they have leopards it would be accepted as a territorial cat scratch without question, just like the kills would be, so it just makes what I do 10 x harder given all of the variables in this country that we have to deal with ?

Took my misses to Costco this morning have executive membership so should be allowed in an hour before the shop opens, oh no an hour before opening time they were queuing the length of the car park round the back and out through the delivery’s entrance then about 100 yards down the street, just turned round and came home, went back at school hometime no cue got what we needed and left 30mins and the cue is back again

I grew up with love thy neighbor and Alf garnett, never even heard or thought of racism until the Blair government came along and sold us all down the river, now I can’t even bare to watch telly it’s a very sad sad joke ?

Sadly We need more atrocity,s to open people’s eyes and minds even the biggest worm has to turn eventually ?

I think they are just mature versions mate the middle picture is loads of tiny little white dots I assumed were them emerging from the ground, they were very bright like little stars which got my attention and made me have a crawl about in there cheers ?

The cat does not necessarily follow the path it may just cross it but a person with a dog would follow it and I would see some sign, there are lots of deer and badger runs crossing the path but I had to wade through water and break through brambles and stingers to follow the path, Like I’ve said it’s nothing conclusive but it is something I look for and having found kills ,scat and had several people tell me they have seen a large black animal darting across the lane early hours in the same area it is another couple of % in the overall picture mate nothing more, ?

Been holding back on my mushroom adventure but would like to learn a lot more before I start picking them so to the learned panel what are these, only finding them amongst the conifers cheers?

If you watch the video cats make a scratch mark to mark the edge of there territory its at 13mins in the video it’s a standard thing to look for in country’s were there are known big cats but a scrape mark here means what, I,ve only ever found two like this and the last one had a good paw print in the middle of it, this one could be something else but as I said it’s on a path that’s not been used by people for some time and in a wood I find sign of cat activity a couple of times a year, if you look down the path it’s under the hedge on the left and if you look at the claw marks by my hand it’s

bare ground lion hunting, ?? one from the video welsh red put up and one I found on a disused track I was checking this morning, in America accepted without question over here it will be everything else apart from a cat, I can’t prove to anyone myself included but when I add a couple of consumed animals and a feline looking scat and a couple of witnesses all within a 1/4 mile of the spot it ticks a few box’s for me ??

The lad that got them pictures is talking about it on episode 35 of the podcast, he has had some good success and if you go on the links and refs there are a couple of new photos he got of one within 10 miles of array,,s mates sighting on the same day I think or within a few days at most, the animal in that picture has been scaled and is 6ft long so if you think it looks like a cat it’s a pretty big one ?

Yes a big b*****d, but it’s propelled by air not powder, so it is in effect an air rifle, I no what your saying but them are the rules mate ?

I struggle watching anything that’s not factual, I just look and see gaping mistakes, and I hate people screaming during a crisis it’s not rational and solves nothing just annoys the shit out of me, so no I,m another one that just can’t get my head round it ?
-
Won’t allow me to put the video up, but a deer and badger encounter I filmed a while back, the young deer has a sniff at the badger and the badger gives him a quick FRO then the deer departs, but I’d say more curiosity than any real animosity between them ?
-
Get a trail cam out might be a nightly thing, most animals have routines and habits also at this time of year food is now getting scarce so look at things like fruit trees dropping the last of there fruit or even some fungi that may be out and attractive ?
-
Powered by air so I must disagree with you, it’s only the calibre that’s different, think the cost of ammo is a big thing in its favour ??
-
Think if this thread has taught me anything, you will never convince those that don’t want to be convinced no matter how hard you try, so just satisfy yourself mate, it will be men on the ground like you that notices the subtle changes, your mate has found a track and your going out looking for more, it’s were it all begins Good luck ??

Big game air rifle hunting has been on the rise for a few years now also air rifles that fire arrows have made big steps forward
-
Best thing about looking for wolves Chris is they will answer a call especially at night, So even if you don’t see them you may be able to satisfy yourself it’s still around, the claws also tend to be longer than other canids if you find paw prints as they don’t walk on many hard surfaces, good luck sounds good
